Went in for a suspension check, and waited in the lobby, and they were quick to find the issue with my car. I was able to quickly get the work done at a reasonable price. I have been going here for a few years now. They are always honest and genuine.
This my go-to spot for car repair. Every time I go, I'm met with kind staff, great prices, and open availability. Specifically, JD Sosa, is usually at the front desk, always offers great customer service and is open and honest about my car and the options I have. I have never felt like they overcharged me for service, even when they could have, in fact, today JD took the diagnostic fee off of my invoice and fixed my car in less than 4 hours. Meineke is a trusted source for car repair and I'll never go anywhere else! Thank you guys!

JD, Sosa, Marc, and David all did an Excellent job when I took my car in on 12/20/2023.another shop in Mesa did not find the problem.
The employees at Meineke shop 2829 found the problem, put the car on the lift and explained and showed the exact problem and gave an estimate. And then they repaired the problem.

I just moved to the area from Texas about three months ago and going to a new place and finding new mechanics and people that you can trust with your vehicle is very hard because I’ve been stabbed in the back and used by a lot of mechanics because I’m a woman. Finding this place to get a simple oil change was a breath of fresh air. I told the manager that I was new to town I needed to get an oil change, he scheduled me an appointment right then and there worked around my work schedule at ASU and I just left there with a lot of ease and peace of mind. When I came back from my scheduled appointment, I didn’t have to wait very long. They took my keys brought my car in and within 30 to 40 minutes My car was ready to go and the price that the manager gave me is the price that was charged to my card. No hidden fees no extra labor cost what he quoted me for an oil change for my car is exactly what he charged me. I will definitely be coming back for any service that they offer that my car needs because I know that I can trust them.
JD was able to help me out to know what was wrong with my car and also explained the details. Really friendly guy. I recommend this place. The place also texts you to let you know when your car is being inspected.
The service and customer service I received at Meineke in Mesa on Southern was top tier. The manager J. D Sosa was very professional and knowledgeable and the staff was also amazing!

Everyone was great from Brian to JD to the mechanics. They didn't stop until they found what was wrong with my car. I'd go here again.
JD Sosa was very helpful and friendly and even helped me get in for my brake service hours earlier than my scheduled appointment which was extremely helpful. Great and quick service.
JD, the service manager was honest and hard working. He had issues with my warranty company. He was patient and stern with them and they paid what was contracted. I would highly recommend this location to anyone who needs their vehicle serviced.

This review is for JD, the manager at Meneike. Wow—where to begin. I had been to this shop a few times before and hadn’t had any notable issues with this man. A few up-selling attempts here and there but nothing I couldn’t handle. This time around was very different. I was quoted $50 by JD to change two filters in my VW Jetta. However, after the work was done, he told me that the total was going to be 90-something. I reminded him what he had quoted me over the phone when I made my appointment ($50 including parts and labor). He told me that because they had to order the filters, the cost increased. I protested and said that if this was the case, I should have been informed of the price increase before the service was done and because this didn’t happen, I would like him to honor the price he originally quoted me. He refused and offered to give me a “discount” that would bring the total to $79. I explained to him that from my perspective, that was still a price increase, not a discount. He continued to refuse my reasoning and in frustration said, “Fine. You don’t want the discount? ” and threw out the higher number again as my new total—threatening gesture number one.
He then tried to persuade me to give into the new cost by saying that it would be just as costly if not more at other places. I explained to him, again, that it’s not about the price. It’s about the principle. I told him it’s not acceptable for him to quote me one thing and increase the price when the service is done. Any reasonable person running a business would understand this.
Seeing that he wasn’t going to reason with me, I told him I would like to speak with his boss. After more arguing, he finally agreed to reach out to her. However, he never let me talk to her directly. He simply claimed that she said they could undo the service and put my old air filters back in. Really? That was hardly a solution and not how I’d expect a business owner to negotiate. I told him I would need to hear those words from his boss directly, but again, he refused. After more frustrating back and fourth, JD went out to my car, got in (without my permission) and attempted to drive it back to the garage to take out the filters. I stepped in front of the vehicle and waived him out of it. He then proceeded to walk back into the shop, grab his drill and walk out to my car in a second attempt to try and take out the filters. I was shocked and upset by these threatening gestures (the third one at this point) and pleaded with him to stop working on my vehicle. I told him this was no way to treat a customer. He stopped and made a snarky comment about how I was complaining about twenty something dollars meanwhile driving a Volkswagen Jetta (implying that I was financially well-off). Despite this shallow way of thinking, it still didn’t address the issue—the fact that he quoted me one price and increased it later without warning…not to mention his aggressive attitude and actions thereafter. It was clear that this person was not going to take accountability for his actions and at that point, I just wanted to get the hell out of there. I decided to cut my losses and pay the $79 in order to deescalate the situation.
JD’s attitude toward me, lack of accountability, and his behavior throughout this entire exchange was completely inappropriate and leaves me concerned about how other Meineke customers in my situation will be dealt with. Needless to say, I won’t be coming back here anytime soon.
They gave me great service when I took my car in. The manager and my daughter even became friends while she was playing with their Legos, waiting for our car. We always take our vehicle to them for service.
