Wanted to stay the night in a camper rv and they asked for credit check, background check, and wanted payment for both. They said at first no truck camper then said they could maybe fit it in if everything came back ok. Passed to the next one.

Park could not accommodate our rig after making reservations in Jan and showing up in May. They have also yet to refund me after making a full payment for 11 days. If you like to park your truck on your steps and touch your neighbors camper then go right ahead and stay here. Manager was also not friendly or accommodating to the situation. Been a Fulltime Rver for a year and a half and this is the worst place we have ever encountered as far as management and accommodations.

Thank you for going above and beyond for us after our harrowing tire blowout. You all have a great level of compassion and empathy. Our stay was great.love your tiny houses and we'll be back. Great location!

The positive: It's one of very few all ages RV resorts in the valley. A few of the staff were genuinely friendly made you feel welcome. At the beginning of our long-term stay, there was a maintenance worker who would go above and beyond to make residents feel welcome, even their dogs. Sites were cleaned/groomed daily, and the dog run areas were up kept. They even did a great job at parking the RVs as they came in. Then one day, they were gone.

The negative: Scheduling seemed to be a nightmare. Tenants were moved three and four times to different sites. Sometimes for no reason at all. The renovation (or rather lack thereof) of the clubhouse left unsightly chain-link fencing strewn around everything that COULD be appealing to the eye. It also cut most of the amenities offered in half. To bed as kid friendly as they claimed, there is only the wonky pool for entertainment (more on that in a bit). The park model additions (or lack thereof) left many sites vacant for months (which could have otherwise been utilized). There are no water shut off valves to isolate portions of the park. So, if someone backs over a water spigot, or of there's any other maintenance (like a park model being hooked up), be prepared to be without water (and oftentimes without prior notice). Speaking about water, the laundry facility was without hot water for at least a month, showing a pure lack of urgency to get that remedied. I don't know how deep the clubhouse renovations are going, but they sure have a LONG way to go.

Also, despite signs posted of video surveillance, there IS NO video surveillance except a single trail camera on the back gate looking at the dog area. I've noticed individual tenants had their own camera systems set up. Sad that they even had to do that. On a few occasions I personally had to call police and even take matters into my own hands to run off vagrants who wandered in to either camp out in the shower house, or slink around the campground looking for unlocked car doors or bikes to steal. I didn't feel safe here.

Upon signing the long term rental agreement, I noticed there were a LOT of rules. However, it seems like many of the semi-permanent and even family of the management broke these rules. Rules like "no window AC units, " or "no foil window coverings. " Even this one, "RVs must kept in good order and consistent with other RVs in the park. " I couldn't count how many ripped up awnings (with supports hanging off the sides), window AC units, foiled windows, and downright dilapidated RVs in this park. Our neighbors had been there for 6 years and their camper looked like a wreck.

After the first maintenance person was gone, their replacements were very lackluster. Sites weren't groomed/cleaned when RVs pulled out, the pool started growing black algae and always had leaves and bugs floating in it.

Mesa Sunset Rv Resort is a gem of an rv park and we are so happy we stumbled upon! We have been full time rving for the past year and haven’t had any issues since moving here. Not only is it family friendly but everyone including the staff is so welcoming. The park manager Angel has been wonderful and treated my family like her own since the first day we toured the park. She truly loves her job and has went above and beyond for us. She is always planning events for the residents including live bands, food trucks, and activities for the kids. Whether your looking for a weekend get away or a long term stay Mesa Sunset is the place to go!

The park looked decent, mostly clean, just a little crowded. I didn't get to stay; the staff refused to honor my paid in full reservation from a week prior, and refused to let me check in when I arrived.
I ended up camping in a parking lot in town, then finding another RV park to stay in for my visit here.
I also received an annoying call from Nick on 22APR (my check-in day) asking me if I was in town, in the park, in the space, on and on, but we didn't get to finish because he hung up on me.
The park is refusing to provide me with a refund, so i've had to file a dispute with my bank to get this corrected.

Now I know, and i'll be sure to avoid this park!

ETA:
As clearly shown in the review, I have contacted them, twice (check-in and follow-up), and they refused to provide me a refund, or otherwise remedy the situation. This refusal to pay attention or accept the information provided is a clear (red flag!) sign of bad customer service.

Been here 1month, the stay was great. Sites are small but enough space for your needs. Had Easter egg hunt with the park for the kids and a nice lunch on the grill. Still remodeling, but the pool and hot tub was open. Staff are great and thanks Angel, Nick, Brenda. Would come back again.

Really disappointed with Mesa Sunset RV Resort. Security is none existent as I had an electric bike stolen. The bike was cable locked to the back of my RV. Thief cut the cable, which was substantial, and took one of two bikes. When security was asked about it they stated they did not have anyone on site last night. The club house has been fenced off for over a year now and it is not useable. Some people have up to 3 vehicles parked around their RV. I reported the 110V outlets in the power panel do not work and after 3 days they still do not work. Apparently they are more interested in selling lots than keeping the park clean.

We really enjoyed staying at the Mesa RV Park. Very clean and friendly staff. Management even took and threw our trash for us when we didn’t know where it was located. Their pool was a huge plus and very clean as well. Very convenient with a grocery store across the street and tons of places to eat around. Also only 30 minutes away to Scottsdale, AZ. We will definitely be staying here again. Thanks for a great experience.

The BEST RV RESORT. We loved it so much here we decided to stay in an RV and become residents here. They are great managers and all the residents are so friendly.

Very disappointed! Stayed here January-March 2021, the park wasn’t too bad. This year awful. Lots of kids, noisy cars, people with trash and junk
on their sites. Looking at pictures on web site make it look like a great place to stay…the park is nothing like the pictures. Wish we would have done more research. We have stayed in over 65 campgrounds/parks/resorts and there was always volunteer security people in golf carts checking on things, but not here. We are here for the duration, unfortunately openings in other parks are scant.

This park was awesome! Highly recommend for anybody looking to stay in the Phoenix Metro area. Keep in mind we stayed for multiple months as a family (August - December) - Born and raised in Chandler, came back with family to visit for a few months.

Inside Park Pros
- extremely clean (can't speak for shower by pool as never used, but when viewed looked clean and I'd use them if needed)
- pool, hot tub, shuffle board court, pickle ball court, and little kid basketball area were accessible the entire time we were there. Pool/ hot tub were being maintenance and drained during normal AZ pool weather. (post thanksgiving)
- kids riding bikes, golf carts being driven between sites and around general area
- DSL (up to 10mb all hours) through CenturyLink you were able to get at any site.better than most DSL connections, was able to work remote via VoIP and kids still able to tablet stream
- food trucks weekly, amongst other park events
- phenomenal customer service by Angelique and her team
- park was being renovated but was made aware before reservation and they were only renovating the main/ center building
- friendly neighbors on both sides
- 2 dog runs in back of park, both gravel but well maintained

Location of Park Pros
- located extremely close to 202 freeway/ US 60
- across from a major grocery store
- next door to bowling alley (decently priced, but week nights are busy w/ league bowl)
- located within 5 minutes of big local park and within 20 minutes of 20 different parks with all things imaginable (during summer, multiple local pools w/ slides and lazy rivers)

We have traveled across the USA and this has been the worst RV Park we stayed in and left after the first night. Although nothing was said when made reservations, here is what we found. No Park handed out sheet, Nothing. Clubhouse and pool were closed for renovation. No store at all. Not even vending machines. RVs, Trailers and such were packed in like sardines in this cookie cutter layout where was less the 20" behind us to the next coach and less that 3' between our side slide outs and the neighbor's vehicle parking. Very tight parking. No table on cement patios. On noisy street with sounds or cars and motorcycles all night. At 1 am, I finally had to asked the neighbors just outside our bedroom window if they would please go inside to finish their all night talk. Four sitting on patio and truck tailgate had no respect for neighbors trying to get some sleep. All of this for $63.00 a night? Save your money. Never even got refund for 2nd night we canceled after all of this.

The owners are very friendly, enjoyable people and I understand that they are working diligently to remodel buildings, but charging full price is unreasonable. Everything is closed except the laundry room and the showers. The showers had not been cleaned in a long time. Filthy shower curtains and the smell! The laundry room was so dirty, I refused to wash my clothes and again the smell! No ice, no hot tub, and no swimming pool. Maybe when everything is updated we will return, but understand that public areas need to be cleaned often.

Place is straight trash. Dog areas smell awful, nothingworks besides I guess their debit card swiping machine, here’s your wonderful pickleball court that some liars are posting about using lol can you see the rackets with no handles, the guy below me must of been the one who got to park his four trucks in the no parking area for six months hey I’d probably leave a good review too. There’s like 200 plus spots in what maybe half an acre no way is this of value! I think meth is a main course meal for entire area, if you are civilized I recommend the wilderness. Two stars because I’ve been told no one trusts a one star

Bathrooms were nasty, were not cleaned during the 3 days we were there. There was nowhere for kids to play except the streets.

It's small but quiet and clean. Mostly trailers and 5th wheelers and little houses. No Wi-Fi and the amenities are currently under renovations.
