MOD Pizza, Tempe AZ

Ordered online but it took about 45 to receive two pies. Also, one of our pizzas was dropped when coming out the oven and that increased our wait time. I have had a great experience here during the day, but I absolutely do not recommend it at night.

I assumed that we would receive our order, but in the end they lost our pizzas and we decided to take a refund instead of waiting for them to make them from scratch. Overall I was very disappointed in the service we received as it feels like our time was completely wasted.

Timeline:
-ordered 2 pizzas via the app
-arrived at the store 15 minutes later and staff was unable to confirm if our pizzas had even been built at this point
-we waited another 20 minutes before being asked if a pizza that had just been taken out of the oven was ours—it was not
-waited 10 more minutes only to watch one of our completed pizzas dropped on the floor
-waited 10 additional minutes only to have an employee ask us to physically confirm if any of the pizzas were ours (none of them were- we didn’t even see our order on there)
-we were then given a full refund and we left after around 45 minutes of waiting in the store

The people working there were nice following the aftermath of all of these events; however, we wish they would have been more clear in communicating that they didn’t even have our order cued up. I understand they were understaffed and it was busy, but the overall experience was terrible and the management should take into consideration that three people working the night shift is not enough. It also seems like the process of taking orders is super unreliable and overly convoluted as well as disorganized. We would have been content had there been better communication and if they had told us in the beginning our pizzas were not ready.

Went last night for dinner. I normally love MOD but last nights experience was not impressive. Ordered a custom pizza on cauliflower crust (yum!) and a mini salad. The girls were talking so quiet I could hardly hear them. The girl putting my food together was VERY sparing on the toppings, including the "extra" cheese I asked for. She put my pizza over to be cooked and forgot about my salad and went straight to the next person. I had to remind her. Then, same thing, very sparing with the toppings. When we got to the register the girl there was even quieter when she did talk, and didn't really say much. Didn't give my l me my receipt. When they called me over to get my pizza I asked for a side of ranch. She acknowledged me then handed me my pizza and walked away without giving it to me. I went to the restroom and asked my boyfriend to remind them about my ranch when his pizza came out. As I was walking into the restroom the girl that had assembled our food was walking out. I went in. The sink was BONE DRY. EW! She didn't bother washing her hands. For my mental wellbeing I told myself that she went to the kitchen and washed them before returning to make the next person's food, but who knows. Definitely not the best experience at a MOD I've ever had.

Great service! They always greet you at the door and answer any question you may have. There are pizzas that you can order (on the menu) or you can do a build your own.
They have alcohol that they serve! (White claws too)
And soft drinks!

I have always gone to this location and it has been really great everytime.unfortunately this last time that was not the case. Not sure if there has been a change in management but it was not the same as it was months ago. The ranch tasted awful had a wierd smell to it. The person making our food continuously touched his face and was by far the slowest employee I've seen at a mod location. It was beyond sticky and dirty. I work in customer service/food industry so I understand people having bad days or lack of employees/management but I won't be returning to this location because of how drastic the change has been in such a short amount of time.

Conveniently located in the tempe marketplace next to Barns and nobles. Their recipes are fresh and simple, and they do provide boxes of different sizes for you to grab in case there’s any leftover.

Feel free to enjoy a healthy meal with kids!

The city bus driver invited me to discuss working for the city transit- didn't buy me anything instead asked for nude pics. At least I'm not even hungry anymore.

Greeted as soon as you entered by friendly employees. The toppings and sauces available to create your own pizza was amazing. The Key lime pie desert was delicious. The price point was reasonable for the amount of toppings you can put on your MOD pizza. The atmosphere is relaxing and clean. Absolutely will visit this establishment again.

Whoever was working tonight needs to get trained again. My girlfriend went to get our pizzas that we ordered online at 8pm. She arrives there at 8: 17pm. Exactly the amount of time it said it would be ready. She gets there and tells the woman working our names and the worker says the two in the box are not ours. 15 minutes later while the worker is insisting that our pizzas our in the oven my girlfriend respectfully asks AGAIN if that’s our pizza in the boxes. The woman was so rude and doesn’t even look and says no. We go up and see our name on the other side and we let her know that it’s ours. She rolls her eyes and says yeah it is. It’s so lazy and disrespectful that she would not even bother to check and give us attitude for HER mistake. Whoever is working tonight should learn some customer service. So now we paid 30 bucks for cold pizza. HORRIBLE SERVICE! I have tried calling the restaurant several times before leaving this review and I cannot get a hold of anyone. This customer service is actually horrible, I would like my money back because I did not pay for bad attitude, customer service, and cold pizza!

Well I only went here to get some water, but from the looks of the inside of the store it was super inviting. I will have to go back to try their pizza

Came in hoping for a healthy option: cauliflower crust. They were out but were so accommodating and thoughtful to suggest other possible alternatives to keep me satisfied with my health goals. Sarah and the rest of the staff (who’s names I don’t recall) were friendly and a joy to interact with. We loved coming to MOD for a quick meal when cooking dinner seemed like too much.

Long line, pretty busy. Didn't take too long to order and get food on the table. Friendly staff. Pizza didn't take long to cook. I like the concept. The pizza just wasn't all that good. Crust was too think for my taste. I'll be back when they add deep dish to the menu.

The pizza was delicious. The staff was friendly. My problem is that there was a street vagrant camping out in the restaurant. He kept following me around. I finally said “no please”. Then he sat down with his appears to be a free pizza. Seems like Arizona is becoming like California. We were in San Diego a couple of weeks ago, not going back as the homeless are everywhere.
