Montezuma Castle National Monument reviews
14Surprising place to learn and enjoy how our ancestors lived. They did it in a very particular way, as they carved their home into the side of a cliff. Place full of history.
Polite park rangers, cute gift shop, self guided tour of information about the location, followed by a wide path leading to the cliff dwelling. Information about the dwellings and local plant life are scattered throughout the exhibit. I loved seeing and learning more about the history of this location.
One of the most remarkable historic sites in the US. So much to take in and contemplate on.
The National Park Service has done a great job explaining the history and the mystery, and also provided convenient amenities.
Well organized park, short walk on paved path to see an incredible piece of history. There is a small museum and information signage throughout the walking loop.
Amazing historical site. It had been at least 27+ years since I had been here. There are several Indian sites nearby to see!
Apart from this one facility, which is shown in every photo of the monument anyway, there is nothing there.if you don't have much time on the tour you can save yourself that
You will stare in awe for quite awhile! I have never seen so many people speechless; just contemplating this epic and ancient society. Large picnic area in the shade to reflect on what you are experiencing.
Amazing that this was built between 1140 and 1400.1/3 mile trail included gift shop.beautiful area
Came here a while ago and visited the other monuments nearby. This was a great place. Full of history and great views. The ranger were also very kind and willing to answer all the questions I had in mind. Really neat place, I would also recommend visiting the nearby monuments.
It's a pretty easy trail and I learned some interesting things about the early people who lived there.
I found it neat to see this, but it isn't as spectacular as some of the other hits and day tips I've done l.
It was a great place to visit. It's a place to learn about some of our Native Americans.
Great stop along the highway! Interesting to learn about how these people lived and their thriving culture!
Beautiful daytime trip for lunch date. Breathtaking scenery. The plaques tell the history of the site and plenty of place to take photos
