Mosaic Cafe Dos, Tucson AZ

Very impressed with the green corn tamale and the enchilada. Perfect consistency on the masa for the tamale with great flavor. The beans were awesome and the hand made corn tortillas were delicious. There was a lady in the kitchen making tortillas so the came hot just off the comal. My wife came for the menudo and wasn’t disappointed. We will be coming back often to try other delicious dishes.

Had a combo plate that was good but they could use a little more lettuce and cheese for tacos.

Sometimes very busy. The best tortillas, beans, and salsa in town. The food here is very authentic to Sonoran Mexican and is very affordable. I prefer this location over the original. You can’t order anything bad off the menu.

Service is always pretty bad. They ignore everyone who walks in because they are so understaffed. Food isn't good enough to make up for it

Went on a lunch break and it was the best possible use of 45 minutes. Carlos was great the food was great and the atmosphere was great.

This was our first time in, and it did not disappoint! This is our new favorite. Carlos was amazing, and took such great care of us and our kids. The food was phenomenal! We will definitely be back again!

Bland, to accommodate the old bitties that can't handle real mexican food. They don't want to be sued by those blue hairs. It's not their fault.just get extra condiments and salt and pepper to taste. No flavor. However, the staff and customers are very friendly. I can't go back until they decide flavor is more important than what pill a blue hair needs to take with their food.

I no longer live In Tucson, but when I come to visit the is one of my must stops! Love the breakfast options and the homemade tortillas are to die for

I have always been a regular here, years now. We usually come here on the weekend, usually morning for breakfast. I have never complained about the food ever. The food is great. But the food cannot help the service you get. Luis was the best server here. Now that he has left its loke the service is nothing. The guy who cleans the table is very good at making sure chips and drinks are filled.

Something would need to change for me to come back. I can't stand bad service. I understand off days but not off months.

Great service, very tasty, low key and informal. We all liked our meals very much: green and red enchiladas, beans and rice and sopapillas.

I frequently eat at Mosaic Cafe Dos; wether for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, it doesn't matter because the food, drinks, atmosphere, and staff always exceed expectations. Every experience the food has always been fresh, made to order, beautifully presented, and flavorful. It helps that the prices are reasonable for the quality and plate portion. I recommend Mosaic Cafe Dos to anyone and everyone!

We loved Mosaic Dos. Sadly, they weren't able to sit my family of 8 together, but we didn't mind. I would sit at someone else's table just to experience the greatness of this place. My family has been enjoying the original Mosaic Cafe since they were in the Safeway plaza at Grant and Silverbell. Mosaic Dos came into our lives in 2006. Same great food and service. Thank you for always serving us delicious food and always treating everyone with care.

My family often orders takeout from this spot and we always love the food. Today we decided to order drinks while we waited for our takeout. When we first walked in, it took about 5 minutes of standing at the front door before anyone acknowledged us (was not busy). One of the wait staff wiped off our table with a dirty towel and then asked for our drink order. She brought out chips and salsa and we continued to wait for our drinks for about 15 minutes while she did a numerous amount of other tasks. After time had passed, we finished our drinks and not once did she check on us or offer refills. She walked past our table 8+ times but ignored us each time. One of the other wait staff was seen sitting down and chatting with a table while other tables were not taken care of. We understand food takes time to make but when no one is checking in for the entirety of our visit, that wait seems significantly longer. When the food finally arrived, I gave the waitress my card which took another 20 minutes for her to even cash me out. We ordered 3 separate entrees. Mine in particular, the #7 enchiladas had a HAIR in it and the meat was very dry. I usually really like this place but I will never dine in here again. If I were to offer advice, I would say that the wait staff should check in with their tables more. Even if it's not their table, they should be helping each other out to ensure customer satisfaction!

It's like stepping into my own Mexican kitchen. The smell, the music, and the ambiance. The food was amazing!

I had the large bowl of white menudo. It came with all of the fixings. Hot and ready to be devoured. I poured in the spices which were put into one serving size mini cups, (Oregano, Cilantro with cut up white onions), dried hot flakes w/seeds, and finally squeezed in the lemons to balance the flavors and cut the taste of the Tripe.

The large bowl serving comes with a side of well toasted buttered bread for dipping. The server was gracious, and kind. This is my go to place for "The Breakfast of Champions. "

I don’t write reviews at all but This needs to be shared, I don’t think I’ve had worse service, it was horrible, march 26th around 9: 30 am, we walked in and sat down and waited 10 minutes until the waiter started helping us (not busy) finally brought us menus and ask us what we wanted to drink, my wife ordered, got the order in for my 2 year old son and as I was asking for coffee he put his finger up at me, i guess hold? And he turned to the table next to us and helped them and walked off I waited 5 more minute as he decided to help others, I called him over as he was walking by and I swore he said shush and kept walking. I have never felt That amount of disrespect out of nowhere, and have never walked out of a place, I highly recommend staying away from the place as I walked out and other customers were complaining about the quality of food and service mainly. A huge disappointment and the worst cafe I’ve ever been to.

Is not about the cost of the food, but the quality of the food and service.

I wish I heard how you were going to correct the problem instead of given me the money back.

Wife and I went to Mosaic recommended by me from the wonderful experiences I had with the original one on  (Grand & silverbell)
Throughout many years.
My first time years a ago I was at Mosaic Cafe Dos was a disappointment, but as always I want and like to give the benefit of the doubt.

ON THE FIRST WEEK OF THE YEAR 2023:
Not only was I extremely disappointed as my wife but disgusted of the food quality was unbelievable bad.
I requested to have my Huevos Ranchero redone because not only they look like _ but tasted tremble. I requested very politely to give me a new one since it did not look like huevos Rancheros I had eaten at Monic one. After the second time the waiter got upset because I was telling him that it wasn't good and I also mentioned to him that in the last 25 years that I been going to Mexico and live there for 3 years I had never gotten so of terrible Huevos Rancheros ever anywhere in Mexico.
Also need to add the 3.5 oz. Of coffee for cost of  $1.90 per cup, I can only said, “Unbelievable”
If you know, respect and like Mexican food give it a try to the dish I describe and you’ll find out is true.
Don’t like to do this but I honestly believe they deserve it.

As always an awesome experience! Super friendly and helpful staff with some great food at reasonable prices.
