While working here for two weeks I’ve ran into a cna who caused huge issues for me and my coworkers over a sand which. The elderly are constantly asking for help cause they are so short staffed, they have no direct deposit, no management really so if you have an issue with someone then goodluck:). Oh and the weekend chef feels as if he’s one of the higher ups in this place, instead of going to the managers he takes things into his own hands instead.this place is so unprofessional it’s a joke. I feel bad for all the residents. Don’t ever touch this place for miles! It’s not worth working here you’ll probably quit within two weeks and it’s not worth letting your loved one stay here. They are so short staffed that kitchen staff have to help where the cnas are lacking.

There were way to many patients for One Nurse.it was impossible for that RN to care for so many.most patients could not ring for a nurse If they needed something like meds, or any important needs.like bathroom.must be an examinaton by the city and directors of nursing. Arizona laws which are broken must be reported.

My grandmother was placed here on respit. The clothing items I sent with her were either stolen or given to someone else in the span of 4 days. Upon transport to a new location she was dressed in clothing that wasn’t hers, was covered in a different blanket then the one I had sent her in and the blanket was covered in vomit. If you are able please do not let your loved one be taken to this location.

Our recent experience was less than acceptable. Hindsight I wish we had done a little more research on this place. Its reputation among the medical community is also pretty bad. We had the expectation that my dad would be receiving OT PT and Speech therapy each day and we asked for a plan. They didn’t have one…It was a mess. Never received the care he went there for. If you can avoid putting your loved one here I would highly recommend it!

Horrible. Neglect people. Miserable!
Mountain View Manor (aka Sandretto Nursing Center) is absolutely awful. We had to rescue my aunt from there before she was damaged any further. She went in for rehab after a 2 week hospital stay. She just needed help getting back on her feet. So what happened? She was not incontinent yet was put in a diaper so they didn't have to help her to the bathroom. And she was left in the diaper for hours when it was wet and messy. She came home with diaper rash down her thighs and up to her lower back! No rehab no therapy was provided at all. One time when they changed her bed they rolled her out of bed and let her fall on the hard floor. She got a cut on her head, bruised her eye and cracked her rib. She received no treatment for that and they didn't even report it. They wheeled her into the dining room a couple of times and left her there. Hours after lunch she was still stuck in there in the wheelchair. She dragged herself into the hall and asked for help and everyone just walked by. This was all in the span of just 6 days. Further proof that they don't care - someone visited her every single day. In other words the staff knew we were watching. Yet they didn't even care enough to make a good show of taking care of her.
She went in with a special fork and spoon with large handles for her to grasp and those disappeared. Yet when they packed her up to move they stuffed lots of her roommates's clothes and shoes into her bag - although she told them repeatedly that it wasn't hers. Yes I returned that stuff but I wonder if it was given back to the poor woman.
Desert Highlands in Kingman is a sister facility also run by Dr Colonna. Laura DePauw, LNHA is listed as the Administrator.

My mom had been there for four days now to receive "skilled" nursing care and physical therapy. So far, the experience hasn't been good for her. They might be understaffed but that doesn't excuse neglect and poor treatment. My mom is definitely not happy there. For four days, they have not gotten her up for physical therapy. She called the nurse for help to use the restroom. The nurse just stood there, looked at my mom and walked away. Eventually, they brought in a bed pan but it doesn't look to me like they are talking very good care of their patience.

I see then that nothing has changed since I briefly had a loved one there. In 2011, I had my mother in there they were rude, uncaring understaffed, and the hostility they had towards each other was incredulous. I took my mother home and cared for her myself. She would call for assistance and we timed it once it took an hour to be answered. No wonder nursing homes have bad reputations

A disappointing experience with pleasant staff for the most part, but lacking in sophistication and effective communication. Follow through was weak by the administration, social service support was non-existent, it was difficult and time-consuming to contact the resident, customer service was often poor, and the bed assignment was inappropriate for the clinical needs of the patient. Only suitable for a short-term physical therapy stay at most.

Caring staff, they will help your family with all they can. From admissions on. They work hard to keep your loved one safe.

The staff here in general seem like they don't care about their jobs, with the exception of one woman I've interacted with and an older man our loved one enjoyed engaging with. The older lady that situates insurance or payment is terrible. My family found her to be cold, inconsiderate, and rude. When we tried to move our loved one from this facility to another facility in the city the places that we contacted had already been contacted by this older woman and probably fed a story so when we called they said oh yeah we talked to so-and-so at Mountain View Manor and we can't take your loved one. What seem to be like simple requests from patients don't seem to be met or addressed at times. And good luck trying to get through via phone to a loved one because they do not have individual phones in each room. They have a single phone in the care takers office that they run around the building from room to room. If the phone is answered it's likely that they transfer you and transfer you again, hang up on you and you have to call back multiple times. That they'll just flat out tell you we don't have any care takers to get the phones to your loved one because it's lunch or dinner time. This place has been just a notch above appalling in dealing with as our family deals with the failing health of our loved one. If we could afford it we would go elsewhere, sadly that is not an option.
