Mountainside Fitness Chase Field reviews
16It’s so upsetting to do this, because i really loved this gym and wanted to sign back up when i was ready but unfortunately there was a problem with my cancellation. I went into this location towards the end of September to cancel my membership. A young Hispanic boy helped me that was also training a girl at the time. He had me sign the Verifone and asked me a couple times if I was sure to cancel. I completely said YES all times. Due to covid I could not attend any of the mountainside fitness location. I got charge twice on my bank and now they say there was no record of ever signing the cancellation! Reached out and called about 3 times already. Day 5 and still no one has reached out to me.
Very clean and definitely feels safe. Great staff and love that it’s easy to move inside. My girlfriend and I enjoy the few times we’ve come already. Looking forward to a year of healthy change!
Immediately deserves 5 stars for going to bat against the governor on behalf of health clubs and members everywhere. No more senseless business closings for political virtue signaling. No more anti-science social justice warriors bent on obeying television. Health clubs do the most help, not the most damage. Gov ducey does have the best bowl haircut in all of Arizona, but still deserves threat of lawsuit if he doesn’t substantiate his decisions beyond the mere political realm.
As this is a difficult location to manage, James the general manager is always out in the parking lot taking care of individuals parking here, that shouldn’t. Example: parking for baseball games, non members wanting to eat locally. Gotta give the guy credit, it’s 100+ degrees out here! Haha. They really hold it down over here
I have not been to this gym in 8 months. Have been trying to work through frozen shoulder and have cancelled the membership and they still charged me for personal trainer package that expired 7 months ago. Ridiculous. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR PERSONAL TRAINING
I had a great experience doing a workout in this gym! I can exercise any time I want, I can join varieties of classes, I have access to different locations and I can park easily because they have their own parking lot. This gym is also very clean and the staff is professional and friendly. I would recommend this gym.
Went to try this location out but wasn’t allowed a day pass because I used to be Mountainside Fitness member back in a days. My husband and I quit it because we moved to the West Valley and there aren’t any gyms there. I came all the way to try this location since it’s the closest one (I’ve never been to this location before). But I guess, they don’t want us to come back and rejoin. I was very disappointed that I have to encounter such a bad and rude customer service.
Great experience, everybody here is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. My trainer knows just how to push me to my limits along with making it fun. Would recommend everyone definitely to join this gym.
This place went downhill in the past year. It use to be clean, organized, and professional; but with the change of manager, it's become frustratingly worse.
The weights used to be always organized, but now it seems like they're never organized anymore.
Things will be broken for weeks before getting fixed, it took 6 weeks for a lightbulb in a shower to get replaced. There a couple lockers that are broken in the men's locker room that seem like they'll never get fixed.
There's never anyone at the front desk, there seems to always be one employee trying to do all the work of keeping lockerrooms stocked and other maintenance, while the manager just works out for hours at a time.
The general feel of professionalism is down, I recently saw a piece of scratch paper on a broken treadmill, and it's stayed there for over a week.
I use to recommend this gym to everyone in downtown, but now I can't give that recommendation anymore; I've heard the Y is better maintained.
Awesome gym. They had all the equipment I want for a good strength workout. It's not crowded and clean!
Small, upscale gym with all the equipment an average person needs and most of the equipment of a hardcore gym if you're creative. Nice staff and good location, just have to navigate the one way streets. Getting a membership online is easier than in person depending on availability of sales staff. But don't prepay for a year because of anything happens they will not refund.
Great staff, clean throughout, and 90% of the time there's less than 5 people who are not staff. Also, they have a dedicated parking lot, so even during games you can always find a spot.
After canceling my membership with an employee at this location. I now am getting calls and emails about a past due balance. I joined as month to month and was informed from an employee that he canceled my membership. Now I'm past due and they are sending me delinquent bills. I would highly avoid this gym for getting wrong information from multiple employees.
The staff is friendly and helpful, the locker rooms are clean, and the gym has good equipment. I have spent a lot of time weight lifting as a D1 athlete and this is my favorite gym I have ever belonged to other than the school I played at. I highly recommend this gym.
Super clean in the gym and locker room. Machines always work. Staff is polite and prompt at checking people in. The clientele is there to work out and generally everyone gives the machine a wipe down when they're done. Parking is relatively easy as well.
The facility is great but shady practices for personal training.keep track of your sessions and get everything in writing. The customer service is unfortunate- no response to my complaint and they did not investigate the issue with being charged for an extra month of training- instead took the trainers word despite complaints from other customers as well
