Mountainside Fitness Surprise

I love the gym.its a little irritating though when I'm at my own station and when I stop to breathe and drink some water I'm told that i need to wear my mask. Then I watch the staff train someone in a crowded area where a woman 2 feet away worked out and during the break had her mask down the entire time and the staff said nothing. I'm also a grown man, if my mask is down other adults should know it's probably for a good reason.like oxygen and water. After that my mask was right back on.

My husband and I since Mountainside reopen on Aug 27th have been trying to cancel our memberships due to our 3 year old daughters health and covid.they wanted us to go in person or have someone sign a document to handle it.we are still and have been since March in our house. We also have no family out here due to us moving here a few years ago.we ended up ordering stamps and sent them our signatures to cancel. All to be told we needed to pay for September and October to get in closed.fast forward to now I've been emailing and trying to get a hold of corporate to get it handled, getting emailed that we are going to call collection on us.this is ridiculous.we loved mountainside but after the pandemic we can see their true colors now.

Immaculate conditions. They have full time personnel constantly cleaning the facility. Masks and temperatures are taken upon arrival. The staff is great and they made me feel welcome. Great equipment and a wide array of classes are offered.

First time coming to this gym. So far so good. They have lots of equipment available and people seem fairly nice. They are providing sanitizing wipes and have bikes/treadmills available as every other to honor social distancing. Seems clean. After a few visits if all goes well will up my review to 5 stars.

Staff is friendly, facility well kept. Not as large as Lifetime, but has good equipment and a good vibe.

I went to this location for the first time on May 22,2020. This location is fantastic, their equipment selection has to be the best in the valley. I’m so pumped I finally found a gym that meets all my needs. Mountainside Fitness, you’ve found a client for life.

I love the kids care here! My son is not fond of anyone but me. Surprisingly, he loves sage (I think that’s her name). I feel so much better working out where I know he is in good hands with her, I don’t feel guilty taking my time and instead it’s a great outing for my 11 month old son too! Everyone is friendly and it has a great atmosphere! My family all loves the rock climbing and sauna as well. It’s always so clean and equipment is well-maintained.

I had a mix up with locations on my review and the manager of this spot contacted me to see how she could help and ensure it was her location I was speaking of. I apologized to her for the mix up and she even said she would contact the location of my mountainside in Peoria to pass the feedback along. This was extremely surprising and refreshing and I just wanted to correct my original post to show that. Excellent management at the surprise location

I started training with Troy when I was 12 years old and I just turned 13.
He's a great trainer who makes working out fun which makes me want to come to the gym. "I've gotten strong and I have gained confidence. Troy is not only a great trainer that connects with me he also is a great mentor.
Plus he's an absolute unit.

Mountainside Fitness in Surprise is the best! I have been a member for 10 years and have never had a problem with any of the staff. The variety of classes good and the instructors are enthusiastic. I also have had personal training with Troy off and on. Everyone pushes you to your personal best. Completely happy with my experience!

I love mountainside Fitness! Troy Sienkiewicz has been my trainer for the past 5 years. In those years I have grown in my wrestling career as a competitive wrestler. I have gained strength and confidence. He is always holding me accountable and pushing me to be the best ME I can be. Every personal training session is new & exciting.

Love the gym, the classes are great, the equipment is always clean and always the best welcome in the morning. All I have to do is tell my kids we are going to the gym and they get excited to see Jodi at the front desk and all the childcare staff. Shes always happy and towel in hand ready every morning!

Friendly and efficient counter staff. Equipment is versatile and in good working order. Busy but no real wait times. Locker rooms are clean and lockers are readily available. Music is okay.keeps me current on evolving tastes.

This place is dirty, smelly and overpriced. Cancelling is so hard and they will continue to charge account even after you cancel. Be careful in the sauna you'll get ring worm and the showers are covered in athletes foot. More then once I had to clean up after other members its gross. I work in Healthcare and understand grems happen but this place is out of control.

I had the myofascial release to loosen up my muscles and tense areas then followed w/ a scrub & honeybee body wrap and body moisturizer and NEVER felt more attention to detail provided by ANY other therapist. So, I also have to strongly I disagree about the massage and specialty treatments are pricey! It was worth every minute. Thanks!

Don't expect your conversations to hold up with member services apparently if they dont document what they tell you it didnt happen and you get billed incorrectly and they wont do anything to fix it! Taking your money is easy but they arnt allowed to refund you even if it wasnt not you mistake! Definitely dont recommend this place at all beyond unprofessional!

This place literally stinks. It's over priced and not even open 24/7 like their competitors who charge less than half the monthly fees. Minimum wages hikes are meant to tax the owners of the business, not the middle class. Maybe if you paid your employees more than minimum wage, they would clean the place once in a while.

Worst gym and worst customer service. Have billed me 3 months with me not using their services. Refuse to reverse the charges and have sent me to collections. Total pos company. I would never recommend this gym or company to anyone.
