Mr D'z Route 66 Diner reviews
32The food was barely edible. The service was good and the place is decorated to look as if it's historical (it isn't). If you're wanting good food, don't bother. It's cute, but that's about it.
Excellent service and food. Definitely reccomend the Ruben sandwhich and root beer. Clean and public restrooms. Lot of character and 50 and 60s music. Love it.
The service was absolutely amazing. The food, out of this world! It was fresh, and the sodas were definitely worth it. It was clean inside, and the staff made me feel welcome and asked for me to come back again. Which I will certainly do when I'm in the area)
Great food and service. Had a good time there. Right across from the museum and you can watch the train go by.
Busy most of the time. The ace gets really crowded and i feel rushed every time im there, but the food is good, the prices are not bad. The ambiance is ok. I think managment could use some improvements.
Waitress was delightful. Sat at the counter with view of the kitchen. Ordered their cheeseburger and it came up in 3 minutes. Bizarre looking meat with large slabs of cheddar unmelted. Immediately told waitress something was wrong when she brought it. There is no way a fresh cooked burger could have been cooked that fast especially being it was an inch thick. We left without touching it. Waitress was willing to make it right any way we asked but we weren't comfortable taking a chance with the cook.
I love the decor and ambience. I really dig the whole 50s 60s diner theme and atmosphere. Their food is synonymous with that "Happy Days" era. I have my favorite food item's "Menu Picks" Besides the Awesome Burgers and Delicious Fries, I always order the infamous "Root beer Float" makes me feel like a kid again, reliving the days of my past (Childhood Memories) Mr. D's restaurant in the Historic downtown area of Beautiful Kingman, AZ. Check them out. You won't be sorry you did. I give my stamp of approval.
The place itself is very nice, 50's diner style, and the American music of that period playing.so nice:) The atmosphere overall is very good.
But the food is just nothing special, very average. Tasty milkshakes, though.
A great place to visit! The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the food is tasty as well. We ordered hot dogs and milkshakes and couldn’t have been happier. Our server, Austin, was great. All around happy experience.
It is SO GOOD! Strongly recommend to visit this diner. It's amazing. Staff and and food, and interior.
Great place to eat. The decor is amazing with Elvis and Marilyn Monroe all over in there. The price is right. The homemade root beer is amazing also. I enjoy eating there every time I stop in Kingman.
I was excited to stop here, but very disappointed. I was there for breakfast and my omelet was good, but English muffin barely warm, not toasted, and hash browns burnt. It wasn’t busy and had to ask for refill on coffee.
Right next to a classic car shop on the ol' route 66, food is delicious and I would definitely have the philly steak again.
I am not sure if I can make it to the meeting tonight but I can tomorrow if you want to come by around noon and I will have to check with my mom for her birthday party for my money's.
A great retro diner to go to when visiting the historic route 66 site. Be sure to try out the root beer.
Most amazing strawberry milk shake I have tasted, plus at a very reasonable price. We also had a lemon meringue pie that also amazing. Great service and very friendly. Next time we visit Kingman, MrD'z will be our 1st call in this lovely Town.
Delicious food! Had to get up and move out of the way a few times because of the awkward seating arrangement by the side door. But good food and refreshing root beer!
How much is tax in Arizona? For a $9.75 burger combo it came out to $14.87? I noticed how much after I got on the freeway, sorry but defin not worth $15 for one combo
Wow what an amazing place they have all sorts of little trinkets from back in the era! All throughout the building. The food there is amazing original American comfort food we had some strawberry shakes and chicken strips that couldn't be beat! On the return trip WE made it a destination to visit them again because it was such a wonderful place! Very unique Americana representative of the Route 66 places. The only thing WE regret is not taking photographs of the place inside and out! And we should have bought T-SHIRTS It's a place that will become a destination of ours when in the area! The staff was young friendly fast knowledgeable!
So pretty place, stuffs are nice. I ordered Mac hotdog. It's delicious but sausage was little bit salty for me
