Mr. Mesquite street tacos, Scottsdale AZ

I go here a lot. These are not fancy gourmet tacos. They are street tacos basic but really tasty. Tacos are $3 to $3.25 for chicken and steak or mixed. Prices are lower on Taco Tuesday. They come with shredded cabbage. It's a really good value the quality is high and it's well worth a visit. Support a local business!

I have ordered from this place 3 times now. It was GREAT the first time. But now I've noticed that their portion sizes change very dramatically. You'd sometimes get a whole lot of beans then barely any. Sometimes a lot of guacamole and other times it's literally not even given to you. I wish I knew what I was expecting when I order. As far as taste it's above average.

I had the steak tacos. Meat was dry and overcooked. Service was great. Facilities did not appear as clean as I was expecting. Would have given 5 if facility was cleaner and steaks weren't overcooked

Said we would get pico and guacamole on the side, then when the food came up they somehow forgot that they ran out of everything 2 hours ago.

Flavorful tacos, quiet location, easy service. I went there for the first time one afternoon after reading the menu that's on their website.

The place is easy to find. The place is very unassuming - it's a small shop with a grill on the side, preparing area in the middle, more prep area behind the door and a cash register. The service was quick and again unassuming as the vibe itself. I had chicken tacos with rice and beans on the side. However, this location doesn't carry the full menu that you see on their website. That was quite disappointing for sure. They told me to get the extensive menu items I should visit another location. So I request that whoever is maintaining the website, should perhaps specify where all menu items are provided and where limited menu is served.

Other than that, the tacos themselves were quite good and I would return back for a couple more tacos.

I ordered online and even got confirmation, yet when I went there to pick it up they said they never got it and they were out of horchata. Not really good service but the tacos are good

Delicious street tacos! Be aware, they don't have a dining area, so you'll want to bring it somewhere to eat, but it's worth it!

Great little street taco joint in the upper side of old town. Worth the walk, ride, or whatever.

Food was good tacos were on point. Only thing I would change is have cilantro and onion on the side instead of just Pico. That's true street style!

Ok, I just want to say that these are some of the best street tacos you will EVER have. Very well priced too. After you get them there is a small attached bar where you can add your hot sauces, pico, lettuce, and salsa. Their green salsa is sooo good. The line can be a little long though so just be mindful of that. If you are planning on getting some after the club (yes they are open that late), make sure to leave 10-15 minutes early to get in line. Cause once 2 am hits the line gets SLAMMED.

I ate here 2 nights ago and got salmonella very badly. I am going to the hospital tomorrow and then I'll be pursing legal action. Had the steak tacos. They were cross contaminating right in front of us, but I didn't think the steak would be an issue.

Fast service but walk up only. In the summer time it's too hot to stand around waiting. Beans aren't refried which surprised me. The tacos were decent. Overall, not worth the $14.00 for a basic taco plate.

Pricey but worth it. Smaller salsa bar than their next door competition but I can taste the carbon in every bite. BE AWARE OF THE RED SALSA. DONT TRY IF YOU HAVE WEEK STOMACH

This is the best street tacos we've ever had since Mexico! We loved it so much we can't wait to come back to Scottsdale for this place.

Good concept, grill by charcoal, nice staff. 1st time there was awesome, but 2nd the meat was like over cook.

The owner, Will Abdallah, is trash. His crew hit my (parked) food truck on the way into Scottsdale Culinary Festival with their good trailer. He now refuses to pay for the damage they caused. I’ve never met anyone in the Phoenix food truck scene who is more shady. I wouldn’t trust these guys with a taco if it was the last food in the world. Be careful if you see their food trailer out. They will hit anyone or anything and not pay for it!

This is a bit of heaven if you enjoy things grilled on mesquite wood. They are $3 street tacos and $2 on tuesdays. Beef, chicken and mixed. Fabulous!

Meat has a decent smoke flavor that was nice. Otherwise it's not very good at all, you're just given a heaping pile of said meat over a single teeny tortilla which would be fine but mine was super dry. Kind of a drinking area so all these good reviews are from drunks perhaps?

Some of the best tacos I’ve had in a while. If you don’t like them, you probably need to reconsider whether you actually like tacos.
