Mr. Vac & Sew, Phoenix AZ

Just left this store after searching it out for sewing machine repair. Do NOT believe their website. I walked over the three homeless people sleeping by their door to find inly two machines in the store and they specialize in vacuums not sewing machines. I waited in line for 25 minutes. Just as it was my turn, the service personnel answered the phone and began to help that person before me. Completely unprofessional. DO NOT EVEN BOTHER GOING HERE.

Scott and Ryan are the new people who run this store and they are terrific. Very customer-friendly and very customer- caring. I brought my 54-year old Singer sewing machine in to them because I had a big sewing job coming up with heavier than normal material. They did a great tune up and the machine breezed through 8 yards of fabric to re-sling 7 outdoor chairs, one chaise lounge and two ottomans. Scott even did some sample sewing with the heavy material I was going to be using when I went to pick the machine up to demonstrate how the machine will do with the fabric. This gave me extra confidence when I brought the machine home to complete my job.

I also use them for parts and tune-ups on my Panasonic vertical vacuum. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

They are a pleasure to work with.

I took my singer machine to have it looked at, the presser foot would not move up anymore, they charged 39.50 just to drop off the machine and advised that it may up to 2 months to get it back. I called a few days later and they advised it would cost 139.50 to repair and it could be ready within a week. When I said it seemed a bit much, the man quickly went to the value of the machine and it would be cheaper to repair it, I ended up picking it up without repair. Waist of 39.50, I looked up some info that I should have researched before and with some wd40 and a little sewing machine oil, I fixed the presser foot myself. I assume this is why they said they could fix it quickly. Machine works fine now no thanks to Mr Sew and Vac. A simple repair they wanted 139.50 for.

Super slow on their service/repair offerings. I don't think they keep track of anything electronically, they always make me bring in my receipt to prove my warranty status. The estimates they provide when you drop off your item are also way off, it took another 5 days and two extra phone calls to find out the status of my repair. If there was another Sebo dealer in the area, this place would probably see a lot less traffic.

I have used Mr Vac and Sew for years. Never a bad experience. Bought a couple of vacs and they are what I needed according to the advise I get. I trust this store and employees.

Had them replace a vacuum cord and it took 5 days for them to do so. Upon picking up the vacuum and taking it home we noticed our bottom hose was now split in two. Brought it back to the shop and they wanted us to pay am additional 30 bucks to fix their mistake. They did not like to be accused of breaking anything and asked my wife to leave the store. Very unprofessional service. Will not recommend on the future.

Larry and Raymond took my machine in and I had a couple of problems after the repair but they stood behind it and I got my machine running again.i had tried a place in Mesa first and they did not even want to take a chance on fixing it. Told me to throw in the trash! Now I am sewing on it. I would recommend them if you have a sewing machine that you love and want to keep running. It’s not cheap but that’s a decision you need to make. I am a happy camper to have mine running! Thanks

We took our sewing machine to be repaired. The staff member seemed frustrated with past experiences. They had our machine for 2 weeks and no communication we went into the store. The staff member was extremely rude and impatient. I don't reccommend.

The clerk was rude and very unhelpful. I was basically told to buy something or get out. It’s a shame because I love supporting small businesses like this store. However, with this kind of horrible customer service I would recommend you spend your money elsewhere.

WARNING. WARNING. READ ALL REVIEWS! About this place before you give him your business. His anger and behavior is over the top and out of control. He didnt fix my items sucessfully. He threw me out of his store on 2 of the 4 occations I went there. You can buy a new one elsewhere for what he charges to not properly fix your item. Dont let this man hold you hostage or verbally abuse you. CALL THE POLICE

I had my bissell carpet shampoo cleaner fixed this week and couldn’t be happier. I was given realistic expectations of price and time frame. The shop stands behind their work and I enjoy the frank conversation. Will use again if the need arisies.

We've gotten excellent service and really good advice from this place. The vacuums are high quality and the advice is spot on.

I have been servicing my vacuum at this store for years and have always been happy with the service. When my vacuum finally broke and was not worth repairing Larry recommended a different vacuum with a trial period. Unfortunately the vacuum did not fit my needs and no questions asked let me bring the machine back and get something different. Excellent customer service.

Called ahead to see how much of a wait it would be to have a tune up on my Kenmore serger and was told: "not more than a week". So I brought the serger in and was told it would be three weeks. Finally received a call OVER three weeks later that it would be ready by Friday. Went in on Friday and it still wasn't ready! So frustrating!

This guy is awesome he will not steer you wrong. I will not go to anyone else for my vaccume needs

Great service. I trust them with my machines. They are pretty quick with repairs, too. I got my machine routine maintenanced/cleaned at the beginning of the year and they fixed my timing last week (I busted a needle in there and couldn't fix it myself) for free.

Went to buy some bags and was greeted by a man im guessing was the manager. Because he seemed to come off rude and impatiant when i said I didn't t know what bags i needed. He walked in the back of the store claiming he would be back when i knew which bags i would need. But before i could say anything he was gone leaving me there and never came back in front to see if I could find the right bags so left.

What a great experience, customer service still lives! Helpful, curtious, and kind. I will recommend Mr. Vac And Sew to all my friends.

The owner is the rudest, most unprofessional business owner I have ever had to deal with. I made a benign comment about the cost of replacement parts and he took it personally, as if I had insulted him. He told me to get out of his store! I was shocked, horrified and humiliated. Needless to say, I will never go there again nor will I recommend this business to any human that requires any respect!

We called to ask about vacuums and Larry the owner was more than happy to help us get the vacuum we wanted, we were going to get the Riccar impeccable, but Larry was able to get us the top Riccar canister model the Immaculate for even cheaper! I will recommend this store to all my friends and family. Very knowledgeable and extremely nice!
