Nichols AutoFab reviews
12I have an '05 Jeep TJ. Kevin and his crew continue to help me modify and fortify my machine to keep me running and safe. These guys are great and they know what they are doing. They treat their clients like friends and always do the right thing. I really appreciate that! It's evident they are not only skilled in what they do but they all have real world experiences with their own gear that they bring to the table. That's an important perspective.
Kevin does good work and is reliable. Very knowledgeable. Keep up the good work, take care
Great staff, great experience. This business is off the beaten path but I would recommend it over any other 4x4 company in Prescott. I used to go to the other 4x4 guys in town but things got too political and slightly sexist. The guys at Nichols don't allow politics or sexism to impact your price, service or experience. Give them a chance and I promise you will become a lifelong customer! ️
I highly recommend Nichols Auto. They are a great group of guys who take pride in there work. I was a bit hesitant to go at first because my first impression was that it was a jeep only shop but I couldn't have been more wrong. There did a flawless CMC on my Toyota Tacoma and once I save up a bit will be going back to have a hybrid front bumper installed on my rig.
Kevin and the team do phenomenal work and are very professional. One of the few Jeep shops that I trust working on my Jeep.
Great guys that did not over charge me for a diagnostic and easy fix on my xj. Will definitely go back
I recently bought a 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sport that had been modified, lifted and used a lot off road. I knew the suspension and some of the other steering parts needed to be replaced I just did not know enough about Jeeps. The Jeep had a strange drift in the front end that got worse at highway speeds. I looked on line watched Youtube videos. The Jeep did not have the death wobble or bump steering. I needed someone who really new about Jeeps, and what needed to be done.
I went to the "OTHER"Jeep 4 Wheel drive place in Prescott, they looked at it for a day and told me I needed a new lift kit and maybe some bushing. The 2 guys I talked to said the drifting the front end was normal after they drove the Jeep and again told me new lift kit.
I was not satisfied with their answers and felt the problem was in the front end of the Jeep.
I did some more research and waited a few more weeks investigating other shops that worked on Jeeps and off road vehicles in the area. I had seen some vehicles around town sporting the Nichols Auto Fab logos.
I stopped in and talked to Mark at Nichols Auto Fab. Later I met Kevin Nichols and found him to be very knowledgeable on my problems and the modifications on my Jeep.
Kevin found a tie rod end that had been broken and welded back together instead of replaced, also another front end part had been broken and welded instead of replaced, and found the wrong Pittman Arm installed which had worn out the steering box.
After Kevin was finished I could hardly believe how great the Jeep drove and tracked down the highway!
THANK YOU, Kevin I love my Jeep!
Thanks to you and your crew it drives as nice as it looks!
Update: 3-26-21 had Kevin finish replacing the rear suspension that had been changed by the previous owner on this Jeep to an experimental system that was inferior to the factory trac bar system. Again Kevin and his team came through! Looking at all they took off and reconfigured, I am thankful for their knowledge. Great place, Quality work!
Awesome to deal with! Kevin knows how to make a customer feel welcome, repairs done very quickly and correctly would do business with again
Nichols autofab is my goto shop for suspension and drive train work. They are courteous professional and fair priced. I recently had suspension work done on my FJ cruiser.i upgraded from procomp 9000 shocks and stock uca's to icon coilovers and spc upper control arms.the ride quality improvement difference is night and day the truck tracks like its on rails and rolls smooth like a Cadillac i feel like im in full control and i forget im rolling on mud tires. The old suspension felt like a 1 ton truck so bouncy at times felt uncontrollable. This was the best money ive spent on an upgrade I should have gotten this done years ago.
Nichols has always been super helpful and often has given me advice that meant I could do the work. In the long run they are my shop so it worked out!
Kevin has some of the most beautiful welds I've ever seen, if you want strong and frankly good lookin' weld dont hesitate to come here.
This dude can do it all!
If you want an offroad beast of a vehicle.stop in and talk with Kevin.
He drives some gnarly vehicles that look beautiful and perform in the field, mountains or trail.
