North Rim Country Store reviews
14 For EV drivers: the store is under new ownership and no longer offers access to its NEMA 14-50 outlet for charging. The person behind the register didn’t offer much else other than an apology. This was the only place available in the area for charging.
Plan your charge carefully and try to get to either Fredonia or the destination charger next to Cliff Dwellers (there’s a nice little restaurant there while waiting for the charge).
You guys had a black Smokey the Bear “Only you can prevent wildfires” long sleeve shirt in your store but unfortunately didn’t have it in my size. I NEED to have that shirt. Please, PLEASE tell me how to get one in medium or large. I will pay the cost of the shirt and shipping if you send me one. I don’t care what it costs. Great store by the way, woman working was very nice.
The store is small but packs a HUGE punch. Great beer and souvenir collection and the folks running the place are friendly as could be.
Excellent general store. Prices are fairly reasonable. Lots of patches, stickers, and cool merchandise to commemorate your visit. Gas was cheaper here than at Jacob Lake. $3.90 on the day we were there and it was $4.55 up the road. Good spot to stop, get coffee next door. Shop. Friendly folks, no card machine on gas, but leave card at register until done pumping or just pay with cash.
Great little store it had all I needed for my trip to the north rim. Gas is also priced reasonable. There is also a little food truck outside. Just a good stop in the right place.
I bought this candied jalapeno here when we went to the north rim last 2018
we opened it today it taste soo good.
I visited the North Rim of the Grand Canyon for 2 days and enjoyed getting gas, beer at this store. The prices were good. Nice folks. The best thing was the food truck parked 50 feet from the front door.
What could have been an awful tourist trap ended up being a delightful store with a great selection, good prices, and friendly service. Definitely worth a stop!
Big hit with the family. Awesome coffee at the truck outside. More diverse options for souvenirs for the kids. Nice beer selection for me. And much needed bathrooms. Worth the stop.
DO NOT TRUST this place. I stopped by to get gas. A sign at the pump says " pay first at cashier". I came inside to buy $10 worth of gas. The cashier told me to leave my Debit card with him, and go back out to pump the gas, then come back in, so he can charge it. I told him, "Why should I leave my Debit card with you? " Ok, he said, " You can leave your driver license, then. " Why would I do that, either? Sorry, but I don't think this is a normal business practice. Very disappointed. I didn't need to cause a scene, so I just left.
Answer to the store owner about preset the amount:
The cashier could have charged my Debit card the preset amount. $10.
How strange is it to ask customers to leave their Debit card with a cashier, when customers want to pay for the gas first? So, how do customers drive off without paying, if they want to use a Debit card and pay first? Sir, you make no sense. I called my bank and they say " Not under any circumstances to leave a debit card with anyone, it opens to fraudulent charges".
Best coffee truck outside, best pickles and salsa inside! Wow! I think their salsa is the best I’ve ever had.definitely check out their jarred pickles too! So yummy.
Stopped in to inflate our tire, and saw they do tire repair. Tim was super kind and helpful, and tried to refuse payment for his service. Highly recommend supporting this store!
What a gem of a place in God's Country! So glad the current fires have not hurt the NRCS!
