OneMain Financial, Phoenix AZ

I recently spoke to Naomi at the Scottsdale or Phoenix branch I'm not sure wich of the two I called. I had a question about one of my recent statements. I was in tears I wasn't mad at her she was so cold and not helpful at all she kept saying was "well you signed the contract". I wish I could find another company to take over my loan. One main has extremely high interest rates they arent flexible at all and they dont care about anything other than making money off people who are desperate. I only obtained a loan to pay for my moms cancer treatment and this lady did not care at all. I know she probably couldnt do anything to help but she could have at least been kind instead of being robotic and cold hearted. I hope she never finds herself in a similar situation.

First of all I work in finances and customer service. So I understand hiccups with business and the service they provide. That being said, I just had one of the worst experiences I have ever seen, heard or been a part of in customer service. I get an alert on Credit Karma telling me that a One Main loan is available for pre qualification. I make pretty good money and have a decent credit score, so I figured I would fill out the application and see. Well I got a phone call afterwords telling me that my application was approved. You hear that they said it was approved for a loan of $9200. Great I thought, finally I can get these unexpected things taken care of that have been stressing me out recently. So I set up a meeting for the next day to fill out the final paperwork and get my funds. Or so I thought. They said they would call me back later that day and confirm my appointment. Well, I never heard back from them so I called a couple of times to make sure that everything was still ready to go and still no one called me back and then the office closed. Not a very easy feeling, after I finally had a sigh of relief when they said I was approved. Well, I got back to my work today and called them and talked to Tyler who said everything was still good to go and it's all approved and I still have my meeting at 12. So I leave work to drive about 25 minutes away and they have me sit in a room for about another 45 minutes telling me that the systems are down. But I still asked if everything is approved and they said yes. Then told me to just leave and come back later today to finalize everything. So frustrated about wasting almost 2 hours waiting and driving, I come back to work. They call me about 2 hours later and say the systems are back up but I am no longer approved for the loan they said I was approved for earlier. How in the heck can a company do this and think it is alright to not only play with people's time but their emotions as well. Horrible experience with customer service, communication and basically lying to your face to get you to come in.

High interest rates! Makes impossible to pay off loan. Staff is amazing! Several years been with them and everyone is very knowledgeable and helpful.

This place is an absolute SCAM! Don’t waste your time. I tried to “consolidate” debt and their version of consolidation was buying out my car loan which I didn’t even need nor request, and in doing so trying to extend out my loan for 5 additional years when I have less than a year left on my current loan but also raising my interest up to 36%! Are you serious? Didn’t even try consolidating the debt that I wanted to wrap into one monthly payment to begin with. They collected all my information, I now get an abundance of SCAM calls and emails, and literally wasted a lot of my time while trying to totally screw me over. What a joke. Stay Away at All Costs!
