Orbitel Communications reviews
14Go to one of their many websites (they have multiple, all of which were designed by someone who gave zero f's), and you will see that these guys are stuck in the 90's. Coding is garbage, website/s are useless (online accounts have been in existence for over 2 decades but these dolts still can't figure it out), abysmal customer service, horrible connection - constantly getting drops, etc.and for the biggy, I'm on Medicaid and I'm supposed to be getting $30 a month rebate. I've even sent a letters to the main office. No reply or response at all. I've never gotten the rebate. Emails fall on deaf ears. The only reason they're in business is because they've been servicing an area where no other companies are. Now Cox is here.
Internet goes out pretty much everyday for hours at a time. I can never get a hold of customer service and they don’t return emails or phone calls. I can’t wait for Cox to finally be available.
Orbitel has improved since upgrading to 1Gbps. Prior to that connection was impossible. Worst internet I ever had at the time. But, again, it has improved connection wise. Speed is usually between 150 Mbps and 300 wirelessly. Now that Cox is coming into town with fiber optics it will be interesting to see what Orbitel does in response.
I have now been an Orbitel customer for 13 months. I wanted to wait to see if I was still a customer by now to leave a review. Upon moving to Maricopa, I was very hesitant to purchase this wifi plan from Orbitel due to the poor reviews. However, my experience has been nothing but outstanding. I have never had any problems, even though my wife and I both work from home. I’m able to have zoom calls, stream YouTube/Video Games all at the same time on multiple devices. My wifi has rarely gone out, and when it has its back online within a matter of minutes. If you’re moving into the area or looking to switch, I do strongly recommend giving a try. I have never been disappointed thus far and would only contemplate switching to another provider based upon a price increase or major service issues. Neither of which have happened. I’ve never had to call customer service which I consider a really good thing. Overall I’m been very satisfied with price, service, and reliability!
This is absolutely the worst cable service I've ever had in my life! Run and run as far as you can from them!
My ex wife had an account with orbiter and did not pay her bill. I got the Josie in the divorce and orbiter is telling me I have to pay her past due balance to get service even though I submitted a lease showing I did not live there at the time and her name was the only one on the account. The supervisors I spoke to were Stephanie B and Latica R.
I have called twice in the last year to inquire about services and each time ended up on hold for 15+ minutes before finally just hanging up. I could only image what it would be like if I were an actual paying customer and they had my money already. Looks like I'll just wait for Cox to finish installing cable.
HD signal is garbage, scrambled
The guide is terrible, set to record or watch, not movie or show it says. Especially Hallmark. Sunday morning says Reba, yet watching a movie that isn't suppose to be on until 11. Last nights 8pm movie was something else and on at 7. Tonight Ride was on instead of movie and Golden Girls on instead of Ride. Missed all my shows
Orbital was great until COX came around, since they did my internet started going down every night for the past 3-4 months and now when I play online I can’t play a full game without getting kicked.
I had the most unpleasant CSR on the phone today, May 1, her name is Stephanie. If I was Stephanie I would consider looking for a new job because customer service is not your strong suit. I called about a $5 discrepancy on my bill: April's payment cleared my bank for what I wrote which was my amount due, but the full amount was not applied to my bill. Stephanie said, "We don't charge a $5 fee". Funny, I didn't say it was a fee, I said that someone made a payment processing error. Stephanie was argumentative, and rudely spoke over me and cut me off when she did allow me to speak, and abruptly put me on hold "to research" the $5 fee (again, I never said it was because it didn't say it was a fee on my bill). She came back on the line and stated that the $5 was the in-person payment fee. I explained my husband dropped the bill off, not with a person. She argued with me again, and finally said she reversed the fee. And I didn't even have to ask, how about that! And then she hung up. This is the absolute WORST service I've ever received when I've contacted Orbitel. I feel sorry for Stephanie's co-workers, and she must be a challenge to her manager if she ever is "coached" for performance improvement. Sadly, we don't have too many choices where I live for internet, and Orbitel is the only one for my subdivision.
Internet service has been great, no more or less outages than any other isp. Very fair pricing and no data caps. (Looking at you cox) Hands down the best isp in Maricopa.
Stay away from this crooked company and their immature employees. I just found out they have been charging me for cable that the HOA also charges me for. When I called to ask, they told me it was my fault for not catching it sooner. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was hung up on.
If I could leave a negative stare I would! I have issues with their service weekly! I am looking into different service. They always have the same answer, it looks like its down and we have someone on their way to fix it with no ETA. It.is.ridiculous!
After having a pretty negative experience originally with Orbitel, Melanie went out of her way to turn it into a positive one. I work from home and rely on this internet for my job so I can't express how much I truly appreciate her help.
