Oro Valley Eyecare

OV Eyecare worked me in for an exam required for renewing my driver license in another state - they are not my regular provider. I was truly pleased at the high level of state-of-the-art equipment and processes used in this practice. All of the providers and staff were very pleasant. If they were one of the approved providers under my insurance, which they are not, I would switch to them for all further exams.

Excellent Doctors, friendly an knowledgeable staff. I feel that they absolutely care and are easy to contact and 100% qualified with the newest technology!

Stellar staff, and all the latest testing equipment! Everything was explained to me in far more detail than I experienced elsewhere. I have great confidence in this optometrist and their kind, super-competent staff.

Very detailed eye exam using the latest technology. The ophthalmologist did a great job of explaining the results and in making recommendations. Very friendly business. Easy to arrange an appointment.

I had an excellent experience at Oro Valley Eyecare. I was a new patient and saw Dr. Andrew Mackelprang. He was very professional and explained everything to me. The actual exam was very thorough and I did not feel rushed. I would definitely recommend Dr. Mackelprang.

This was my second time to this practice. This time I met with Andrew Mackelprang. I felt very comfortable with him and his knowledge. He did an incredible job explaining and taking time with me. He was a very positive experience.
Okay, now for some other input. The entrance to your office is awful. This is the first impression of the practice. The desk isn’t facing in the right direction. It looks unprofessional. The lobby layout needs some work. It’s so tight and uncomfortable. I really believe you guys could do better.
I have another comment about cleanliness. I’m a very observant person. It’s always the little things. The mirror in my exam room was dirty. There was a layer of dust I ran my finger across. There was also dust when I checked out. It was on the side of the printer (that for some reason is stuck out in the lobby.)
I have some knowledge about what I’m talking about. My husband had an Orthopedic Practice with three partners for many years.
I don’t think any kind of medical office should feel like a Mom Pop neighborhood business. I really believe you have to amp up the overall professional look. It’s lacking taste and professionalism. I want you to be successful and profitable. You have to take care of details.
My care was first rate and very professional. The office now needs to match up.
One more thing, the percentage you add on to the bill is also unprofessional. Raise your rates, don’t make your customers feel like they are being nickeled and dimed to death. People won’t necessarily complain about your rates but I would bet you’ve gotten some negative feedback on the surcharge for using credit card.
I think you guys need an Office Manager.
It’s simple, be more professional, guaranteed you’ll greatly succeed.

I hadn't had my eyes checked for a few years; It was time. I was surprised at the number of modern technologies and machines used to analyze my peepers and thrilled that I wouldn't have my eyes dilated! The staff was friendly, the examination thorough and the doctor knowledgeable. I established a new baseline for my eye health at Oro Valley Eyecare and will be going there annually to ensure I see my way into the future.
