From the office manager Antoniette to the Alane Ortega the attorney i can't speak highly enough of the fast response time and kindness that was shown to myself and my son. This was a extremely stresssful and urgent matter and they responded quickly, professionally and because of them my son is with his son now. Thank you.

I had a really good experience with the Ortega law firm. The staff was very nice, and helpful. They always kept me informed and answered all my questions. I felt that Mrs Ortega worked really hard to take care of my case. I would recommend her, and use her again.

2/13/2023 UPDATE: Finally got the Consultation refunded.

Had a consultation with Mrs. Ortega scheduled and paid back in late January 2023, for March 2nd, 2023. Stopped by to verify and confirm that this firm would be able to handle my issues while up in the area for personal business, and chatted with the office manager, Antoinette for a bit, with the overall confidence that this firm would be a good fit and would fight for me after our talk, and that it was something that Mrs. Ortega could handle, even given the specialty nature of my potential case (s), it definitely seemed like she would be a great fit based on her experiences and expertise, and I was eagerly awaiting the consultation in March. Unfortunately the next day I received a call from the firm stating they were canceling "numerous consultations" due to an unexpected issue with an attorney on staff, or something of that nature, and mine was included. I was unhappy about it but was not surprised, as its been my luck as of recent. However, they were supposed to refund me and my girlfriend on the 31st. As of yesterday, Friday, February the 11th, of 2023, and after at least 3 calls asking when the refund of $150.00 for the cancelled consultation is, we still have not received our promised refund.

I have lost all respect for this firm when they lied about refunding a consultation, besides the fact that they didn't even make an attempt to reschedule me, and then what appears to me as "two facing' me and my girlfriend about refunding the $150.00 consultation fee. Will be calling their payment merchant Square on Monday to request a chargeback.

Edit: forgot to mention that I signed nothing and revived no emails for the initial paperwork and consultation, nor any info on the refund. And yes, I had them verify my email address over the phone.

Potential clients beware!

Alane represented my granddaughter in criminal matter. From the very beginning she listened to the situation, reviewed the documents, and formulated a plan. She aggressively defended and presented my granddaughter's side of the situation. The outcome was the best possible. Alane is extremely professional, compassionate, and honestly concerned about her clients. Not only did she negotiate a great outcome she helped us to understand the complicated legal system, she eased the anxiety of the situation. If anyone has a need for legal representation Alane is truly one of the best.

Alane is an amazing attorney she knows how to get it done! We were upfront and clear of our goals and needs regarding getting custody of my Fiancés children. She told us everything that could possibly happen and to be prepared to do our part. Which we did! Living our best life, our girls are happy, safe and doing well. Thank you Alane, we appreciate your hard work.

I couldn't have made it thru my case without her. Mrs Ortega knows her stuff she is a lawyer I want in my corner every time. She was always there when I had questions & always made me feel better. If you have a criminal case that your worried about she is the lawyer I would definitely call.

Very unprofessional, Alane made up statements that I never said it almost seemed like she just wants me to sign without a fight or any real proof that I am guilty of anything. She literally was raising screaming "Don't Put that on me! " When I told her I never said a certain thing about my case. So good luck to anybody that has her or her Law Firm as your representation because she is not a good defense at all.

I talked to the office manager and she was very rude she wasn't a attorney so she had no right put me down and Criticize me the whole point of asking for a lawsuit against DCS is to get my children back all I wanted to do was talk with attorney not a office manager

Not sure yet, ALANE was appointed by the court to my boyfriends case, Still not fare to rate till it's over. But my boyfriend was impressed with her actions in court the other day. So we shall see.

I was given mixed messages and yelled at as though I was her child. She's very rude and unprofessional told me I should get other attorneys to look at my case after I had paid her about 5K. So actually I got nothing for my money but a bunch of stress. It was actually easier to deal with my spouse then it was her. Although she apologized for her behavior, she didn't change. I ended up firing her and hiring a far more capable attorney by the name of Monica Donaldson Stewart. She's very compassionate and doesn't over charge for nonsense.

Was just wanting to say that out of all the times iv been in need of an attorney. Finding attorneys that are efficient as this company, "doubt it" The pride, ethics every effort. The politeness so Respectful very thorough with a complete understanding of my case was awesome. They must love their job, not to metion but they are great at it they really know there stuff.

When I called to discuss payment, the assistant told me I need to manage my money better, and go get a second job. I feel this was completely unprofessional and flat out RUDE!

Defensive and unprofessional

Late for our scheduled phone call. After calling her she became very defensive and rude. After Criticizing how she could do better for my mother’s case, she asked “well, what do you what me to do? ”. I just told you.

FIGHT HARDER. Do better.

Going to a REAL lawyer! Would not recommend her!

My experience with Alane was amazing, couldn’t have asked for someone as honest and straight forward but also realistic about the situation. Thank you and we will use again if ever needed as well as our only person for referrals.
