Dr. Williams did a wonderful job on my reverse total shoulder replacement. He listened very carefully to all of my concerns, prior to the surgery. Then, he made sure he covered every one of my concerns perfectly. I was so pleased with his work. I would highly recommend Dr. Williams to anyone. He is WONDERFUL!

Dr Pifer is caring and talented. He resolved my severely sprained ankle with great results. His treatment of my right wrist with steroid injections gave me relief for the first time since my combat deployment injury in 2009.
I selected him for frozen shoulders and am currently being treated.
I trust him for my care as well as his staff who are very empathetic and kind.

I think the expectation when we seek medical and surgical care is that it will be excellent. So it’s normal not to see a lot of 5 star reviews—that’s the expectation. So I really want to take the time to shout out Dr Pifer and his team at Ortho Specialists of Central AZ. I am a busy, active mid-40s professional gal with a toddler. Tearing my ACL was not in my life plan. Having surgery even less so! Dr Pifer was incredible from MRI read to post-surgical graduation. I followed his and my PT’s recommendations to the letter. The first two weeks were VERY hard, but with diligence and attention, I recovered slowly and well. Dr Pifer reiterated at every visit that ACL surgery recovery is a slow, long process and he would be with me (along with physical therapy) throughout.
We have choice in Prescott for ortho surgery. I am so, so pleased I went with Dr Pifer. I highly recommend him, his staff, and now nine months out, I am in recovery and continue to chase my 4 year old, hike Granite Mountain and Thumb Butte with ease, and am back to my regular yoga practice: All while working a busy, professional life that requires a lot from me physically. I could not ask for a better outcome from knee surgery!

Doctor Williams has done full knee replacements on both of my knees between October, 2022 and March, 2023. The first knee is now just my knee, and the second is functioning at 100% as well. In about another month the second knee will be just my knee I can't thank him enough for the great work he did for me.

What a great group of people. Dr Williams is knowledgeable, friendly and easy going. The staff don't miss a beat - efficient and communicative. My surgery went so well that I am finishing up Physical Therapy after a month and have full range of motion in my shoulder. Thank you, Dr. Williams.

No clue why they made my appointment with my hand injury for dr pifer as a FOOT SPECIALIST. Honestly treated with negligence. Was told to buddy tape my finger when it had all signs of a unstable fracture and should’ve been treated with fixation or reduction. Constant pain and discomfort for two years when I could’ve been fixed with k wires. However Dr Pifer is not a Hand specialist and his front desk should’ve never taken my appointment. Should’ve told me to contact a different office rather than being greedy. Breaks my heart I gotta live with this now.

Had a partial knee replacement. It failed. Still swollen and painful after close to three years. Checked with another orthopedic surgeon who x-rayed and examined the knee. Immediately identified many problems including knee cap is now at a thirty degree angle. Large void. He said don’t bother to tell me who BBC did this surgery. He then stated the surgeon’s name — Bradley Williams. Have learned of several other patients who have had trouble with this surgeons results. Strongly recommend that you not patronize this outfit if you are hoping for a quality and functional outcome.

Appointment June 9. Need MRI. I booked appointment at Simon med July 1st after contacting Dr. Several times for the order. If figured July 1st was far enough away to get the order. Nope, they didn't have it. Simon med called Dr. And got verbal order. I can't believe they never got back to me or sent in the order. Now I'm scared to work with them.

3 times since December, my partner has taken off more than half of a month for recovery to have surgery done through Orthopaedic Specialists of Central Arizona. All three times, this office has canceled within one week of the surgery, due to things that they can control, making it so that my partner can not get back on the schedule for work during that time. My partner has already lost over $4000 in pay because of this. In addition to this, all appointments have been rushed and no imaging has been done to confirm what the doctor thinks the problem is. My partner who suffers from severe knee pain and lack of support, meaning they frequently re-dislocate their knee causing more pain, has now officially given up on seeking treatment for their problem because they quite literally can not afford to keep doing this. This place clearly does not value their patients in any capacity and are extremely unprofessional.

Dr. Williams is awesome! Burchfield mis diagnosed me. Dr. Williams figured out through an MRI that it is way more serious then what Burchfield said.

I was recommended for knee surgery with Dr Pifer. He always rushed the appointment and talked to me like I was inferior. Typical appointments would last for maybe 2 minutes as he rushed from patient to patient, but you still pay the full price of a specialist. I was supposed to have my knee surgery one morning and at 6: 45 in the morning they called to cancel it. When I finally was able to reschedule my surgery, they charged me for another pre-op appt. It was a battle explaining that if they hadn't canceled my surgery, I wouldn't have to have another pre-op appt.

As prep for surgery, they said I would need to have someone with me for the first 24 hours, and gave the impression that recovery would be quick, especially because I was so young. I finished my surgery, where I found out that I wouldn't be able to put weight on it for 3 days (which seems realistic, but from my pre-op appointments, they made it seem like it would be 24 hours only), that I should not drive for 3 weeks, and to call if there were any issues. I was planning on going to work and going to school, which would not have been possible, and is something you need to explain prior to surgery. I had a follow-up appointment a few months later and they asked how my knee was doing. I explained that I was having a lot of trouble with stairs, and I still couldn't do much with my knee besides walking with a limp. I could barely handle the weight of my body (I'm 5'10" and weigh 125 pounds - I'm not heavy). I addressed that I had a lot of pain, limited movement, and a lot of discomfort and swelling. They said that the more I exercise and work out, the faster my knee will heal, as well as it might be painful, but that's what would make it better. I was happy to hear this news and for the next couple months I would work out, and it hurt a lot, but they said that would be expected. A few months later, I went in again for another appointment and addressed my concerns to Dr P again. I told him my knee is weaker than it was before surgery, I was still having a lot of pain and limited use out of my knee, and that I was frustrated and felt like I had wasted thousands of dollars (I paid for this myself). He said he was happy I said my knee was weak and that I also needed to stop working out, which was exactly the opposite of what the nurse had told me. Then he told me he understood my frustration and my options were to get another MRI and have the surgery redone all at my expense (again thousands and thousands of dollars again), or physical therapy a couple times a week (which also adds up). I felt like he took no responsibility for the issue and was putting the failed surgery on me. He said this was the only surgery he had where the patient had a weaker knee than before surgery, but wasn't going to do anything to fix it. This was the longest appointment I had with him and it lasted about 10 minutes.

He said he wanted to see me in a month to see where I was before I moved after graduation. I met with a physical therapist and did my exercises daily, and things slightly improved. It was good enough for him. He only saw me for a minute or two again, and basically told me that he was worried it would never get better because I was going to give up on physical therapy, again somehow making this my problem and not taking responsibility.

I am now 2 weeks shy of my year mark from surgery and have I have been doing physical therapy exercises daily. I was finally able to kneel in January and bend down with both knees bent in February (although I still could not put weight on my right knee as it bent), and was able to do a full, real squat in March. I did my first jump 2 weeks ago and it wasn't high at all, but the landing was really difficult on my knee. I still have troubles with stairs, and I still cannot extend my knee all the way, deal with swelling still, and numbness from nerve damage. I understand that there are unknowns with surgery, but he took no responsibility, and he and the nurses told me conflicting info how how I could heal best.

Dr. Pfifer is a super nice guy! Really enjoyed talking to him. I broke my hand and was referred to an orthopedic specialist. I originally scheduled with Granite Ortho.but they couldn't get me in until Thursday, which was 3 days away. The receptionist got me in to this office the very next day at 8 a.m, and she was also very kind and helpful. They immediately had my x-rays from simon med through this online portal system. I just enjoyed the fact that he took his time talking to me, even helping me decide whether or not I should compete in this upcoming tournament with the injury. He gave honest advice and was realistic about the situation. Be sure to arrive early cause there is about 3 papers you have to fill out. I feel like I did wait a decent amount of time in the exam room after the MA left; however, that could've been because I was a little late myself (showing up right at 8 am and then filling out paperwork). Really down to earth doctor, friendly and compassionate.

Dr. Pifer was seeing me for a torn miniscus. I’ve been very happy with the quality of the care I received and the friendliness and professionalism of the entire staff! I had surgery 2 days ago and have already had a tremendous improvement in pain felt and am finally looking forward to getting my full range of motion back also. I highly recommend this office and the whole staff!
