Oscar’s Taco Shop reviews
19Very clean, excellent above & beyond service food was excellent. Front-end staff was awesome, and I marked all of my food. What it was awesome
Ordered chirizo and egg burrito, half way thru the burrito still dont know where the chorizo part is
Actually pretty good if you're looking for a quick eat, everything tasted good and fresh. Would be nice if the location was a little bigger though for more seating.
Food is really good. Big sized burritos. I would say it is more of the 4.5 because i wish the burritos were more tightly wrapped or more toppings. Each bite felt like all the ingredients kept pushing down since there is such open space. Still good price and great tasting proteins in the burritos.
Awesome.the best Mexican food I have had in a long time.you can't deny the flavor.and the service was warm.with a smile.but not just a smile.they were truly happy to serve us.thank you and I will recommend them to everybody I know.
Never disappoints. The beans and rice were delicious. The asada was well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The Al Pastor wasn’t goopy, but still had great flavor. Fresh ingredients and great service.
Torta bread was stale. Asada was dry. Frys were typical, nothin special. I will not come back. Waste of money.
Pretty good food but not as good as Cotija taco shops. I miss the taco shops in San Diego they have the best food.
Great food! Bean and cheese burrito, shredded beef and Carne Asada tacos were delicious. Friendly and welcoming service.
Worst hours of any Mexican food restaurant I've ever visited! Seriously, pay someone to work!
The Shredded Beef Crispy Taco h Carnitas Taco are FABULOUS! Highly recommend! I dream about their red salsa!
Got 2 shredded beef tacos to go. They were good. Very similar to the tacos in So Cal because they are related to the Cotija taco shops in San Diego. The place is very small, don't take more than a group of 4 there.
We went into Oscar's yesterday to see if it was better or different than other locations I've visited. The staff was pleasant and attentive, the greeted us and asked if we wanted menus as the one behind the front desk rotated what seemed like every few seconds and had no prices. Looking at the menus the options were plentiful and offered just about everything you would think a place called Oscar's Taco Shop would offer and the prices were reasonable.
I asked several questions about the salsa and chips i.e, temperature, green vs red and so on, the cashier mentioned chunky which was very hot and non which was milder but not medium, more like hot. We decided to try the medium (hot), it was hotter than i liked but tasted fine. The chips didn't taste homemade more like resold store chips, not great. We ordered a few burritos, Carne Asada and a breakfast one.
The breakfast one was decent but the Carne Asada was nothing what I've come to expect the meat was really tough and full of gristle the juice was tasty and it included various things, onion, tomatoes and spices.
If the meat would have been better prepared and less gristle as to been able to chew it then it would have been a really decent burrito but it was far below average as is.
You walk in no music, not friendly, no price of the food menu on wall. Just pictures.
When you ask the price, there a attitude.
I ask and order a taco salad. The shell was destined, rice was yellow, no beans, no sour cream little bit of chicken, it was reheated, two slices of avocado. They brought me two bottles of red sauce. There were no customers in this place. This is the worst place, of mexican food I been in. Don't waste your money. El Pollo Loco is the best for taco salad. They make everything fresh. And the taco salad at this place cost me $ 10.95.
Not impressed and was looking forward to it, a bit steep for ground beef tacos, don't think I'd give it a second try!
Oscar's Taco Shop has a wide variety of Mexican cuisine; however, the fish tacos are my favorite.
Service was helpful and nice. The chunky salsa was really bad. I think it was a can of tomato sauce that wasn't seasoned enough and had little of the other salsa fixings. So a little sour tasting. The bottled green and red sauces were also low on the flavor side compared to other places. Had some of the taco salad. Carne asada was not seasoned well either and not as good of a cut of meat as a filibertos/rolibertos or any sit-down Mexican restaurant.
Don’t get me wrong. We love Oscar’s but tonight was very disappointing. We ordered 2 California burritos and they were very small. My first two bites were nothing but folded tortilla. We also ordered a couple of other things but I definitely don’t feel like it was worth the $34 I spent!
We would also love it shredded beef was an option for the rolled tacos
Not all Oscar tacos are created equal! This location is terrible! Go the extra miles to Scottsdale so worth it. Ruined my appetite!
