Very good experience with the ER Department. I've got help, lab tests, and a prescription within an hour in the middle of the night. Thank you!

The ER dept was top notch. Friendly, professional, efficient and compassionate. We were traveling through the area and needed urgent help late at night. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of care in the small town facility.

Waited for 4 hours for them to say “take ibuprofen and wait it out”, then had the front desk make me refill out all the personal and insurance information a second time (filled everything out when I checked in) and when I asked why they didn’t save it they refused to give an answer and demanded I present it again without further information. The Dr.didn’t even remember to offer me some ibuprofen at the hospital I had to ask for something to hold over the pain till I could run to the store.

Page hospital was outrageously unhelpful in helping my suffering father, my father had chronic back pain and intense muscle spasms, he tends to throw up anything that enters his body including liquids and medicine, a long with very very uncontrollable muscle spasms that cause him to shake, kick up his legs, causes him to yell out of pain, and uncontrollably causes him to get out of bed because of his back pain, even if he cannot stand and he knows that, he does it anyway because of how intense his pain is. Page is the closet town to where we live, and the drive there took two hours, my dad being driven 100mph suffered in the truck for two hours, once we reached page we thought he would be helped, we thought the nurses at Page Hospital would help my suffering father, instead they had a whole attitude with us and kept trying to pin down my father, my father who can’t lay straight because of his muscle spasms and his pain, instead of trying to be understanding, they just closed our room and closed the curtain and left him there for god knows how long, after hearing my father yell and scream for the nurse and doctors help, I knew we wouldn’t be helped. They did not treat us the way their motto goes, they did not help the ones in need. After not doing anything for my father, they told us to go home, after that long agonizing drive, after my dad was still yelling and having intense spasms, once they got my dad into the wheelchair to take him back to our vehicle, he started to spasm again and he asked if he can just spend the night because the pain was starting again, during this episode his legs were not able to move and his back gave up completely, instead of helping us AGAIN, they called security on us. My dad is an elder that needs medical attention, and that’s not what we got, instead we just got one bag of IV and a “go home”. Do not go to Page Hospital, no matter how serious it is, they will not help.

My partner and I were travelling through the area in our rented RV. We are from Canada and had hoped to go hiking in the area. My partner, Roy started having severe abdominal pains as we were just parked in a spot overlooking Lake Powell. After some time, when the pain did not abate, we decided to go to the ER in Page.
Thankfully we had purchased excellent health insurance from TuGo Insurance before we entered the USA so the only concern was to find out what was causing Roy's agonizing pain.

We found the the front desk staff, the nurses and Dr. Mancilla superb in every way. The care and attention that Roy received was stellar. There had been a concern that Roy was suffering from appendicitis so the doctor did thorough tests. Fortunately the health issue turned out to be minor and we were able to leave within a few short hours. Thank you all in the ER at Page Hospital for your superlative attention and care. Much appreciated!

Talk to any regional locals, they will tell you avoid this hospital if possible. For us it was not. First question from the male nurse in charge was a terse "So what are you doing here? " I get the idea that inept or medical personnel who have made infractions are banished to this workplace. We sat between cursory exams for hours although the hospital was nearly empty. Finally many hours later after they were unable to diagnose the issue, we were released, never any patient follow-up. A few weeks later, we were greeted warmly with an astronomical bill.
UPDATE one year later, had to go to this hospital again with wife having breathing difficulties. They diagnosed her with critical cardiac issues (high potassium levels) and (finally) arranged for a life flight to a real hospital. The real hospital found no cardiac issues (normal potassium levels), but discovered she had pneumonia, something you think Page would be able to diagnose and treat. Oh yes and during the course of her exam a "nurse" thought her gall bladder was on the left side of the body.

So the doctor was great but the nurse was a judgemental nightmare over a tooth infection as soon as she realized I was on no prescriptions and only use THC to handle my multiple sclerosis. It is legal here so not sure what the problem was. If she thought I was on anything else I could have given her blood I had no problem with that however she treated me based on assumptions. Very disappointed. I went because I was dehydrated and couldn't keep my antibiotics down, that's it I just needed to settle my stomach and get some fluids on-board. I was given something to settle my stomach, no fluids and it was a wasted trip that cost me a few hundred. Front desk and doctor were great, nurse could use some bedside manner.

During my road-trip through the south-west of the USA, I suddenly had a fever and kidney pain.
Of course, I was very unsure because I was in a foreign country and had no experience with the American medical care.
After much thought, we drove to Page Hospital early in the morning. It was the best decision ever. I was taken care of immediately and felt well taken care of from the first moment. Everyone was kind and attentive and Brian and Cameron treated me incredibly competently. They were very caring and took their time. I was given an antibiotic and was able to continue my journey quickly. I can recommend this hospital unconditionally!
Thank you Cameron and Brian for your quick and competent help!
