Palm Tax & Accounting, Chandler AZ

This business is terrible. They did not pay my payroll taxes (which I paid them to) for almost an entire year. I figured it all out when the IRS threatened to levy my home (LITERALLY). As a result of Palm Tax's negligence I incurred thousands of dollars in IRS late fees and penalties.and in some total lapse of my better judgement I still paid them for filing my end-of-year taxes (lesson learned and mistake would not be made again)! The worst part of all of this is that I have directly messaged the owner, Gena Jones, regarding the matter (s) and she has literally NEVER REPLIED. Money aside, a lack of accountability as a business and or business owner is the most disgraceful component of the situation for me. As a small business owner myself, I could never just ignore my clients like Gena. I have spoken with many other (former) clients of Palm Tax who the exact non-payment of payroll taxes and IRS incurred fees happened to so I have solace in knowing it was not just me, but also how unfortunate for all those people too? I'm sure they were or are being ignored just like me. Shame on Gena Jones and her poor / non-existent communication and total lack of accountability.

If i could give less than one star, i would. They did not file my taxes as promised after paying for my taxes.up till now, the IRS has no record of my filling and I cannot get hold of Gena jones to talk to me regarding this issue. They told me they had filed my taxes april 18 and I waited 6 wks and called, they finally gave excuses and said they filed for extension which i doubt they ever did, I was later told that they had to send it by mail for some reason which they never did. Now I have to find some one to fix the mess they did.please run.

Met with Hannah, very friendly, smart and efficient. Took great care of my 91 year old mother.

We had an enjoyable experience here. We were greeted by a personable receptionist. Free hot popcorn too! Our tax preparer, Hanna Lee, was professional and extremely knowledgeable regarding our tax situation. She made recommendations regarding our sons continuing education. Steve and Arlene Shrader

It would be a profound mistake if you don’t have Hannah do your taxes at Palm.

We have been long-standing clients of Palm Tax when it was owned by Paula but now that new ownership has taken over I can honestly say this years tax appointment was the WORST experience I have ever had. My taxes were incorrect, no return phone calls and the list goes on sadly. I paid these people a service to do a job and trusted them! Extremely disappointed is an understatement. They don't even deserve one star from Google. Take my advice and stay FAR away from this business!

It's a shame that Paula Forst build such a wonderful business & sold it to, what I believe to be, such inept people.
Emailed me & told me my end of year reports were done & when I came in NOTHING was done. They do not want to talk to you personally. They have no idea how to be personable. Everything to be done thru computer, set up a "portal". They don't answer the phones, you must leave a voicemail & if you're lucky they'll call you back. Will not take time to answer simple questions, you must set up a fifteen minute appointment. I feel that they have no clue as to what they're doing. All original staff from Palm Tax is gone.
Personally, I think they will close soon because they have ruined the business.
They do not understand that this is NOT like where they came from (out of state, Chicago?)
I would suggest you avoid, at all cost, using this company for any of your tax/accounting or financial needs.

Horrible experience. Run away as fast as you can. Tax returns not e-filed as promised until we checked on status over a week later. Then given bogus excuse as to why e-file was not already done. Multiple contacts to Palm Tax went unanswered. Visited in person to try to resolve tax payment issue. Palm Tax originally offered to have taxes due paid electronically. That never happened. Upon in person visit, found out that we would need to use a voucher and pay by check. Had we not pursued these issues, taxes would not have been paid. Do not trust this business.

Tony is excellent. Highly recommended. Good with kids as well. Very pleasant and friendly. Staff is nice too!
