Panera Bread, Surprise AZ

This location is closer to me so that's great but it lacks space compared to other Paneras.
The staff is younger and act like it. They are loud and obnoxious sometimes while closing up.
We do a monthly meeting here at night and sometimes it's quieter but I think more often then not, they a messing around back there which can clearly be heard by the customers.

Everyone is so nice here! I was having a bad day and a lovely lady offered me cinnamon rolls because she saw I was crying.

Super friendly staff and manager was very helpful. Will definitely return next time we are in the area.

I'm not sure who designed the cafe area of this new Panera, but I'm not sure that they had any clue what they were doing. This Panera feels more like a cafeteria than a cafe. The seating is very uncomfortable, dirty plates sit on a countertop rather than inside of a bin like at other locations, and at every table there is a direct line of sight into the kitchen. Other locations achieve the modern feel while still retaining a comfortable cafe environment. I would recommend you go to the Panera in Surprise, Peoria, or Glendale if you plan on sitting for any amount of time longer than 5 minutes.

8pm on a Friday night with only 1 person ahead of me and I waited 20 minutes for my food. Came home and opened my 1/2 sandwich to a literal piece of bread ripped in half, a tablespoon of chicken salad and a ton of tomatoes & lettuce. To be that slow and not even have the ability to cut the bread is ridiculous.

They were out of crackers when I had to ask, so I asked ti substitute bread, and to my shock. Panera Bread was out of bread! It's in the name, UNBELIEVABLE!

Ordered a soufflé, they only had cheese. Saw 5 other people after me get their orders. Had to ask for mine which all they did was take it out of case. Found I had to warm it my. Microwave doors were stuck and can’t read instructions unless you nearly get on your hands and knees. So I waited 16minutes to let them know they forgot me, got my own coffee, and warmed my own meal. You have a lot of balls asking for a tip when custody all the work.

Their line at the drive thru is always long, they make the customer wait at the window until their food is ready while others that did a mobile order are all waiting. They do have the option to send the customer to a parking spot to wait for their order but they don’t use that!

Excellent food. Good quality food at a great price. The staff was very helpful. Definitely enjoyed the food. Will eat here again.

If it was based on the customer service and taste of the food alone, we would rate this place a 5 star as those two factors alone make it far superior to other Panera Breads in the tri state area and beyond. To seemingly most other restaurants around these days.
Unfortunately, the seem to have a pest issue or, as of a month ago, they did.

Employees were great, manager, Heather was great also. BUT don't get the baggette sandwich! A little over 3 oz of chicken on a 10ish long baggette. Literally, you'd have to put the chicken on a third of the sandwich to make it work. On mine, half of the sandwich had NO chicken on it at all and what was on the other end was scattered.

Ordered with Door Dash, this wasn't best experience tonight. Firstly, the grilled cheese was missing so someone just ate the bread that comes with the family meal. The worst part was the fruit salad we ordered, not only was it half full, but it looked like it was starting to go bad.

Food was delicious here. Love the specialty drinks and bakery items. Staff is very friendly and helpful

Kind of bummed they ran out of bread and replaced it with a gogurt. Not a fan of that. Other than that, service was okay. Great location.
