Paris Baguette, Mesa AZ

The first time I came here I only got a buttercream stuffed bread and I have been hooked since! Everything I have tried is incredible and this is a dangerous place for me to be. The sweet potato roll is another favorite and the red bean roll is just as good and not too sweet. This location is inside Hmart and I have found myself shopping both at Hmart and here every Saturday lately. As you can see I like to stock up for the week They tend to be pretty busy most of the time being in the food court area and can get crowded as the checkout line mingles with the small space where their shelves are.

After returning from my 3-week honeymoon in France, I had become accustomed to eating the most amazing artisan baguettes in the world. In France, they are everywhere, easy to find. As soon as I returned to Phoenix, I started looking for French bakeries and boulangeries. I found and tried a few, but, so far, this is the best baguette you can find with decent hours and a daily production. Everything they make (3 types of baguettes, and about 15-18 different pastries) is made fresh daily. I was shocked that this little spot inside the Asian market was as good as it was. Now I go back a least once a week to stock up on my favorite French goodies.

Update: After coming back once per week for the past 3 months, I have learned that they are usually not fully done with their bake until about 9: 30, even though they open at 9am. If you don't have time to wait for 30 minutes for the items you came for, just plan to arrive at 9: 30 instead and they should be ready by then.

If you are expecting a French bakery due to the name, you will be disappointed, more like an American/Asian version of it, baguette was not really a baguette and pastries were way off and overbaked/slightly burned, would not waste the expense on it! I did not try their cakes though. But the rest disappointed me so much that
I won't bother.

Delicious cakes and bakery products. We tried Chocolate cake and it was delicious! Bakery is decently priced as well.

Such great iced lattes! I asked for an extra shot of espresso in my latte and it was perfection!

Cute little dessert shop. It can get pricey and everything is old individual from 1.95 and up. They are located right in the Hmart. Nice and friendly staff, clean.

It's okay. Overpriced. The milk bread is fine, ok cheese mushipan (called cheesecakes I believe), the curry bread was good, the red bean was ok. Very disappointed in the choux cream bread, chemical-heavy taste that stayed in your mouth.

For my daughter's birthday she wanted a Green Tea Strawberry Cake. Not only was it great tasting but it was light and sweet, without the aftertaste if that makes any sense. And the cake holds up after repeated eating! Worth every penny.

It's nearly IMPOSSIBLE to buy a honey garlic baguette in this place. They're either not ready, even 2-3 HOURS after the place opens.which is usually the case. Or they're sold out. It's really like they don't start baking until the place opens, then you have to wait 2-3 hours for ANYTHING to be ready. If you don't time your visit PERFECTLY, then you're S. O. L.
I've already wasted enough of my life waiting for them to have product to sell. 12pm. Still no honey garlic baguette.

PS I would disagree with a lot of the comments and say that the staff is actually really nice, of course that doesn't matter if they have nothing to sell.

The bread is all dry, and the red bean paste is separated from the red bean bread. The price is high, but how can they sell bread that is so dry? !

So many fun, interesting and delicious treats. Honestly, everything we had tried there has been an awesome experience. One of the best bakery experiences we have had. Would highly recommend the trip out there. Surrounded by amazing restaurants as well.

I had great expectations of this place, and I was really surprised by the quality of the bread, it is delicious and the prices are very affordable.

Their buns and pastries are good, but what's the deal with the default tips setting of 18% and more on their card machine? It's a self-serve bakery, and you expect tips? Ridiculous.

The pastries and cakes are soooo delicious. I come here for every special occasion to get treats. Staff is friendly and fast. The coffee drinks are good too.

The pastries include many with an Asian flair in that they contain red bean paste, some items sweeter than others. Don't waste your time with the almond croissant if you're expecting it to be like the true French version filled with almond paste. It is not although it is densely covered with sliced almonds. Somewhat the same can be said for the chocolate croissant which does not contain a sufficient amount of chocolate. If you're looking for a true French pastry experience, go to Essence Bakery Cafe where you will find the best croissants and macrons outside of France. Paris Baguette has some interesting choices that are not totally French, so it's worth giving it a try. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Frequent here love the pastries so much and the coffee is delicious.
Personally think the peach tea and the hot chai are way to sweet.
Favorite pastry is the Coffee Bun w/ Honey Glaze.

Everything we have had has been delicious! The dough is soooo soft and so flavorful, they must have some French pastry chef in the back making these there’s no other explanation because they pastries are perfection!
