Called to get an appointment for a specific problem with my outboard. Brent was very helpful and although booked out for a while, sent me in the right direction to diagnose and replace a part over the phone. Very helpful and appreciated.

This place is amazing, I’ll be a customer for life. I came in as a newer boat owner with a bunch of questions (I’m pretty mechanical but very little experience working on boats) and they answered every last one of them. Gave me all sorts of options and suggestions and got me going. They completely saved my weekend by helping me diagnose what was wrong and how to fix it. After 7 months of repairs; having the entire top end of the motor replaced, lots miscommunication, and having to bring my boat back to the shop after repairs were completed a second time, my boat is finally Fixed. After I was able to get it running, it was immediately apparent that there was a large water leak coming from the gimbal inlet water tube. I politely called Brent, and we spoke about this leak. We were able to come to an understanding that I just wanted my boat fixed like I initially asked for. To be accurate it was the first time I fired the boat up after picking it up. He was not dismissive, argumentative, or rude. He apologized for how my experience went with his shop/mechanic and that he was going to take care of it to make it right. Without an appointment, I was told to drop it off as soon as I could and that he would fix it. By the end of the same week he had ordered the part, replaced it, and then had me come in on a Saturday where My Boat waiting, attached to the Dyno to run in front of me. We ran the boat to WOT without any problems, we spoke about maintenance, and items specifically related to my prop use. I was then handed an invoice listing all the parts that had been replaced in conjunction with this leak, Free of charge. Although my experience started off very rough with this shop, I feel now like Brent is the kind of guy that does care about his customers. I never wanted any freebies, just for my boat to work and to feel like the shop cared about doing it right. I will gladly use Performance Marine AZ again but do feel now like it will be a long time before I need to see them again because it was fixed right. Thanks again Brent
