If you are looking for an Orthopedic Spine Surgeon that not only exudes professionalism, is extremely knowledgeable & patient, Dr Peter McCunniff is your guy! Not only is he a compassionate doctor, he thoroughly explained everything in layman's terms while allowing me to take as much time as I needed to have my questions/concerns answered. My personal surgery was a huge success & his follow up on my healing process was 2nd to none! In this day and age when it seems like no one really cares, it is so refreshing to have a doctor that truly does!

I honestly don't know where to begin. When I came to see Dr. McCunniff with a diagnosis of a L4-L5 herniated disc, I was a mess. Not only did he care about my physical health, he cared about my mental and emotional health as well. He is extremely knowledgeable, without being condescending. He answered all of my questions.my repeated questions. He is empathetic and KIND. Not only is he a skilled surgeon, (I show my scar to anyone who is willing to look at it, because it is so small!) he is also a wonderful human being. His medical assistants at both locations are helpful and caring too. He cares about more than your spine. He cares about helping you get your life back.

Dr. McCunniff is a terrific surgeon. Knowledgeable, sensitive, and informative… I immediately felt at ease, and felt confident in my receiving expert medical care. I had been in pain for over 2 years, being treated by pain specialists for sciatica, before finally being referred to a surgeon. Luckily the referral was for Dr McCunniff. His personality and obvious knowledge puts you at ease immediately. When he got into the spot where he thought he could relive pain from a herniated disk, he discovered bone spurs and removed them. My pain level went to zero, except for surgery site pain, immediately. Three months later I am back to normal and very much looking forward to getting on with seeing the world. Amazing! I suffered 4 months of sciatic leg pain, multiple epidural injection's and no relief due to a herniated disk. During July, Dr. McCunniff performed a surgical lumbar procedure to relieve the pressure on my nerve. When I awoke from surgery and stood up my pain was completely gone and remains so. I'm still amazed at my results and the professionalism and abilities of Dr McCunniff and his surgical team.

I feel blessed that Dr. Peter Mc Cunniff was available to me when I needed spine surgery. He is kind and compassionate. His communication skills are excellent. I am so thankful for Dr. Mccunniff! I had multiple failed back surgeries before finally coming to him, within the first half hour of meeting him at my first appointment he found the problem that was missed by many others. He talked to myself, and my family about options and gave every detail about the surgery I ultimately chose to do. He was very comforting, answered any and ALL questions, and had the best bedside manner. Surgery was successful and fixed the issues I had prior.
