Pima Community College - Center For the Arts reviews
11It's really nice that PimaCC opens their basketball courts for high school tournaments.
Saw a play there. It was quite quaint. Staff were fake as hell but friendly. No-one are that friendly, I would go again.
A very comfortable small theater space, with a creative use of scenery and easy-to-hear dialogue.
The PCC students knocked it out of the park again. They did an outstanding job in The Piano Lesson.
I am an alumni of PCC, and took theater graphics there! I wholeheartedly pay for the more expensive seating in the Proscenium (big) theater just to support my friends. I think the best show I saw was Dracula in 2017 in the Black Box. Nevertheless, Little Shop of Horrors, Mamma Mia, and SpongeBob were all a delight. I do commend the set designers on finally agreeing on using less videographics.as a set/scene design dabbling student, I found it would clash very much.
Support your local theater and come watch shows for $15-$30 (tax included). They are physically distancing, and also require masks indoors. The cast always does a clap-off as you exit, which is very very fun! (costumes, makeup, mics and all- they're clapping for you, the audience, which is an odd but humbling event). You can also take pictures in front of the backdrops!
Incredible facility! I was duly impressed with the theater, stage and lighting systems. I look forward to attending there again soon!
Saw Little Shop of Horrors. Technical details with the plant effects were well executed, and the acting was just as worthy.
All the seats seemed like good ones, the staff were good about protecting the audience from COVID. I enjoyed the night!
I love this place because i attend college here. It does not have the impersonal aura of a University, instead it feels like an actual community.where people care about each other.
What an incredible center! I was lucky enough to be visiting during the production of Singing in the Rain was running. Such an incredibly talented cast of students, and very talented director and choreographer. Wonderful facility and community resource.
I've attended several shows here and have always been beyond satisfied. The students doing the shows are very talented. The seating is comfortable and no matter where you sit the stage is visible. It is also clean and has a comfortable and welcoming vibe. It's a great place to support the local arts.
