Ate there twice during my stay. Had a great Patron Margherita each time. Fresh food. Great staff and quick service

Food is actually "okay"; this review relative to service.

They will check your table 3 times during your hour+ visit while there are only 30 or so customers in the restaurant. The waitress will roll her eyes when you ask for more hot sauce or chips. They will get upset when you bring up that you are paying cash and are supposed to get 5% off your meal when doing so, as per their own sign sitting on their table. They will roll their eyes if you ask for change for your cash and toss the bills on the table then storm away like a child.

For the record, I let the waitress pocket the 5% and also tipped her $8, because she clearly needed it more than I did.

Let the South Rim economy die. Stop feeding the tourist trap.

Plaza Bonita was average. The menu had a wide variety of options, most following the Tusayan-prices (higher than normal). Our food tasted pretty good, however I’ve had better Mexican. Service was good, as everyone was straight and to the point. It was interesting how they had apparently ran out of taquitos and flautas at a Mexican restaurant…

Pretty picturesque place. Plan to spend there about 1 hour. 10 minutes hike and rest just hanging around.

Honestly.for the price the food is very bland, they have no kids menu which is absolutely ridiculous, people coming to the grand canyon have kids, also I'm from MI and Mexican food up there is better then here which is incredible because we are in Arizona.servers are friendly staff is polite. The food just isn't even close to what They charge and it's not great, instead of a great experience seems the place just wants to make a quick buck not have enjoyable experience for people who come to visit the grand canyon and want a good meal before long walks. I ate breakfast there not dinner so dinner may be better but breakfast your better off going to the place next door or wendys

First time here, went for breakfast.paid $5 dollars for a glass of apple juice. The food was bland, had no flavor and was straight out displeasing. The regular eggs were dry AF. The veggie eggs were so watery, the potatoes had no flavor, over all just not work a 40$ breakfast. Especially with the prices. Will not be returning, i suggest you go to McDonald's across the street.

Really great food here with large portions and friendly staff. We had the seafood salad (with shrimp) and the shrimp tacos. Both were delicious and came with enough food to fill us up after a full day of hiking.

We had breakfast and it was delicious. Wish we could have gotten lunch too. Service as good and the food came out fast. Would definitely recommend!

I have celiac disease. That means I must eat gluten free or else I will suffer extreme diarrhea and projectile vomiting.

On 11/11/2021 I ate at Plaza Bonita @ Grand Canyon.

I explained to our waitress Yubi that I have celiac disease and must eat gluten free. She knew what I was talking about, and she warned me not to eat the corn tortilla chips that are served gratis because they are cooked in oil that is also used for breaded items.

This made me feel very confident that I could safely eat there.

My partner and I ordered a Veggie Fajita platter for two. The item was explicitly described on their menu as gluten free.

The restaurant was beautifully decorated, the tables were artistic and interesting. The service was excellent and our server, Yubi, seems very pleasant and good at her job

My husband and I ate the same food from a service for two. He was perfectly fine, I experienced at least five hours of intermittent bouts of projectile vomiting and explosive diarrhea and this very certainly was because my gluten free meal contained gluten.

Wonderful food, lots of seating capacity=no wait at peak dinner time (parking lot was pretty full), quite a welcome break from the overcrowded restaurants in gcnp and elsewhere in Tusayan. Even had a dish I never encountered before even while traveling in Central America: molcajete, seafood stew in a volcanic stone pot. Analogous to Korean tofu soup in stone pots, but of course done Mexican style.

Food was awful, rice was dry and crunchy. My burrito was a flat mound of tortilla and shredded beef. The enchiladas were drier than the dirt on Bright Angel Trail. To top it off the service was slow and uninterested in filling our beverages. 1 star for the Queso dip which was pretty good.

This place was very great! We left stuffed and very happy! All the menu items came out fast and fresh. Service was fast and friendly! We got the fried ice cream, and churros for dessert, and oh my, the sent us leaving with a smile.
