They switched doctors on me once I got there. Said I had to see Timothy Hug instead and I had an awful experience. Had to keep calling until they finally agreed to do a follow up because of things they failed to do the first time. Made me sign something at the follow up and lied and said it was their regular agreement to be seen and has nothing to do with the payment when I told them I shouldn’t have to pay to have a follow up since what they did a few weeks prior wasn’t working. Then after the appointment said “actually you do have to pay for this follow up, even though we failed you in your first appointment and you were right, it’s in the papers you signed! ” They were so rude even though I was right all along. My son was petrified each time we went back because they physically held him down and forced his eyes open for the drops! Talk about traumatizing a kid! I switched to another provider and they are absolutely wonderful! I’m mad at myself for picking the wrong place and definitely feel like I’ve failed my son, by taking him here.

Dr. Plotnik was very kind. My husband had surgery recently and he was having a little trouble on Friday afternoon. He called the office his call was promptly attended to. Dr. Plotnik was going out of town on Saturday but he wanted to see him at the office at 8: 00 PM. You don't get a doctor very often these days that is willing to do that. Thank you Dr. Plotnik!

At 69 years of age i experienced a severe case of Diplopia. Dr. Plotnik just completed my eye surgery with excellent results. He was the consummate professional through the entire process. Over a period of just a few visits he often asked " do you have any more questions? " How many physicians ever even ask once! Office staff was kind and considerate. This doctor was clear and concise with his explanations and everything he said would happen did exactly that! If you require eye surgery this is the man you want. He gave me the greatest gift, he gave me my vision back.

My daughter and I had a very pleasant experience. Check in was quick and we had a very short wait time. The Dr and staff were friendly and professional.

I can't judge the Doctor, as I never saw him. The front office was horrible, though. Not only incompetent but extremely rude. In fact, seemed indignant that we had the nerve to complain about the lateness of the doctor. They not only double booked, but probably triple-booked based on the number of NEW patients waiting to be seen by doctor then had the nerve to say the doctor sometimes "ran late because of emergencies". I was told to be there at 3: 20 to fill out paperwork for a 3: 30 appointment. Then told my appointment was actually for 3: 45 so before I had even completed paperwork they were already over 15 minutes late, but their office policy (which you must sign if you want treatment) is if YOU are more than 15 minutes late they will RESCHEDULE AND CHARGE YOU. Also, if you miss three appointments, even due to illness, they can and will drop you as a patient. Yet they have absolutely NO respect or appreciation for the value of their patients' time. All in all this fiasco cost me over $300 plus in lost wages and I received absolutely nothing but extremely high blood pressure, a migraine and ultimately a trip to Urgent Care for treatment after waiting 45 minutes and being told it would probably be another 45 minutes to an hour before he got to me. Most insulting of all, when I told the nurse I was leaving and would not be re-scheduling, she smugly told me "fine - good luck finding another doctor". I feel like sending the Dr. Plotnik a bill to let him know he isn't the only person who's time is valuable. Oh, and by the way, I DID find another doctor to treat my condition less than 5 miles from home so I guess he isn't not as exclusive as he would like you to think. Complete and total waste of time and money. Good luck actually seeing someone other than the front staff!

Very good experience! I was seen exactly on time. Wait time was not even 5 minutes. Dr. Plotnik was wonderful! Spent so much time with me - never ever acted impatient or rude. Answered all of my questions - explained things to me in detail. Just a perfect visit. His front staff worked like a well oiled machine. Perfect! Friendly and professional. I highly recommend!

Dr. Plotnik is an amazing doctor! He has been taking of my daughter since she was in the nicu. Now she is eight and I wouldn’t go anywhere else! I drive 4.5 hours to see him and in my opinion, it’s with it!

Dr. Plotnik corrected my complex double vision secondary to scleral buckles. He is the best, and I got the results I wanted.

Most unpleasant experience ever. Do not recommend anyone to go to this doctor office. Absolute worst customer service ever. Scenario: Walk into the doctor office, very rude at the front desk. Go back into the room after an hour wait with my 4 year old. Doctor has absolutely no patience and seems rushed because they are behind schedule. Dialates my sons eyes and shuffles us to the next room. When he goes to check his eyes my son is crying and he said welp we will try back in 6 months. They are billing me the full amount and will not give me a credit.turns out my son has scars on his eyes and needs treatment right away. They are the absolute worst and do not recommend anyone going to this office.

Go see Dr. Karen Robertson. She treats all pediatrics medical vision needs. Office off Shea West of Tatum. The best opthamologist for kids. My son saw her from age 7- 18.

We've waited 20+ mins past our appointment time almost every time we've come here. Today the wait is 40+ mins. All our appointments have been early in the morning.

2 + hours wait with a 2 year old.
MD kept insisting that I need to bring in my sister-in-law because I brought in my little one to make sure that she is not Cross eyed.and mentioned that my sister-in-law might has it!
He kept telling me to send her for check up.she is 55! She knows better which doctor to go to!
All he was concerned about is extra $$$ for him!
He is a Business man, not a caring MD.

BY the way. This is my 1st review of the doctor's visit. Left very disappointed.

Horrible experience!

I was referred to Dr. Plotnik by another ophthalmologist for evaluation for surgery. Dr. Plotnik was very rushed and gave me very little time. When trying to explain the history of my situation, he kept cutting me off with questions and I felt he never listened to me. I waited 3 weeks for my appointment and spent $73 in Lyft (referring ophthalmologist restricted driving) driving from the east valley for Dr. Plotnik to write me a rx for glasses.like the prior doctors didn't think of that before referring me to him. Waste of time. Second opinion, PLEASE!

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. Dr. Plotnick took great care of my son, explains everything, made a scary situation seem ok. BUT try getting a call back from staff or reaching anyone in the office. Good luck.

James Plotnik spent very little time with my son and daughter. He had nothing to recommend to my light-sensitive son at all. I didn't have a reason really to not return so far, so I continued with him. I bought glasses from the store inside his office that his wife owned. Without notice, the store closed and his wife would not answer calls or honor the warranty we purchased. Dr. Plotnik originally told me that I would have no issues and to contact him if there were, so I did so. I tried for months and he would not call me back. Very disappointing and I would not recommend this doctor.

I think the staff is no very organized. They don't call you to remind of the app. But the doc is the best. He is being my daugter's doc for 10 years. I recommend him.

My wife had a rare eye condition which made her go blind in her left eye. Her corn is turned white and had thined to 20%. No other doctor would help her. With in 3 months she got a cornea transplant. We now won't got to any other doctor.

Buyer beware! I've been taking my daughter here for years. Recently they were bought out by PCH and as a result an office visit went up by more than $100. Same doctor, same staff, same everything. I left two messages (after navigating 20 minutes worth prompts). Two weeks later still no call back. I will not be coming back and I'll be sure to warn all my friends as well that I have referred over the past 5 years.

Great doctor for my young son. He really cares about his patients and takes the time to listen.

Dr. Plotnik takes care of all members of my family from Old to Young. My mother sees him for her MS, and my cousins little one has glaucoma since birth and he's her caretaker she's 7 now. He fixed my son's lazy eye as well. We highly recommend Dr. Plotnik
