2 Dr. Ponce definitely saved my life when I had a c1 c2 fracture. I was in excruciating pain and had gone to the ER 5 times as the pain increased. YRMC in Prescott never even took an x-ray far less an mri. My children finally kidnapped me from YRMC, where they were trying to send me to a skilled nursing facility. They took me to Honor Scottsdale. Honor did the mri immediately and informed me I had a broken neck. A few hours later Dr. Ponce came in on a Saturday and fused my neck. Amazingly successful surgery. Dr. Ponce is brilliant and is SO easy to work with!

Although Dr. Ponce did an excellent job of diagnosis and initial treatment of my mother, when an infection arose (from Miami-J collar) and we needed her to be seen, his Assistant failed. She would not schedule urgent followup needed (which discharge instruction listed was protocol for infection (stage 3). PA refused to even try to schedule.thank God we went to Mayo who handled it immediately. Good initial, but beware if any urgent followup needed.
