Pay attention to negative reviews. There are only 2 dentists in the Prescott area covered by our insurance PMD and Prescott Valley Dental Group (PVDG) both under Smile Generation. PMD has a hygienist and PVDG has not been able to fill a hygienist position since COVID. Made an appt with PMD for exam/xrays but could not get a cleaning until August 2023. Went for exam/xrays and they charged a $50 co-pay for xrays. We have never been charged for xrays and they said the amount of xrays they do is not totally covered by insurance. First red flag. We have been getting regular cleanings 2x year for over 20 yrs. When the hygienist and dentist do the exam they tell me I need a deep cleaning and want to charge insurance over $1000 with my portion being over $300. I tell them I don't want a deep cleaning and they inform me that I have to follow their treatment plan and they will not do a regular cleaning. I call insurance and they inform me I should not do the deep cleaning if I am not in agreement. I canceled all other appt's with PMD. This past week I went to a dentist in Peoria, Az.and was able to schedule my exam and cleaning the same day. This dentist and hygienist are not in the Smile Generation network and they informed me I absolutely did NOT need a deep cleaning and they did not charge me for xrays. This confirmed my suspicion that PMD was trying to make money off the insurance doing unnecessary procedures. I will be filing a complaint with insurance.

I had an issue with my new temporary crown. After just 3 days it broke! I called the office and they got me in as soon as I could get there. Dr. Brown made sure the new crown was a good, secure fit. Office staff are very friendly and Darby the dental assistant tries very hard to make sure all is well. I still have more visits (oral surgeon and final permanent crown) before my treatment is completed, but I have confidence that it will all be good!

I love this office and dentists! Dr. Ervin Trilles is new at Prescott Modern Dentistry and he was fabulous. Easy to talk with and made me feel nice and calm through the entire appointment. He and Dr. Brown are absolutely terrific dentists. Dr. Brown bonded a broken tooth for me and the tooth is strong and beautiful. The color matches so well with my original tooth color. I had to get in as an emergency, and it was the same day I called that I got in. Can't ask for more.
