We were impressed with the reviews and decided to stop in for dinner. Unfortunately the service was underwhelming.

We waited for 15 minutes for our order to be taken. Our server walked passed us several times without even acknowledging us. Added to this, a couple walked in and sat at the bar directly in front of us. They were served drinks immediately, had an appetizer and meals served all while we had been waiting. It's disappointing when basic customer service is not provided.

We found the food to be great! It was just as advertised, savory and delicious. However, the experience has left a bad taste in out mouths. We are willing to give this place another shot, based solely on the food quality. Hopefully their service improves. Otherwise, we'll choose another of many great Mexican restaurants here.

Chilaquiles is the best Ive ever had, with options to elevate it further with a choice of protein. While I went specifically for that there are many other tempting items on the menu, as well as some really great beverage options.recommend.

This is the best Mexican food (scratch that- some of the best food PERIOD) that I’ve had in Phoenix. In fact, it was so good, that it made me feel like I had never even truly had real Mexican food before in my life. It did take awhile to be seated, but once we were, our server was great. We actually came mostly for the horchata (voted best in Phoenix), which was delicious. But we will be back for the food! We started off with some guac. Fresh, delicious, and flavorful as can be. My wife ordered three tacos and loved every single one: carne asada, al pastor, and shrimp. The street corn that she ordered alongside was absolutely the best street corn we have ever had. It had a ridiculous amount of creamy, smokey, spicy flavor that I have not experienced before in a street corn. I can still taste it now writing this review. For my meal, I ordered the Quesadilla Roja con Chicharron. The pork belly was incredibly rich and delicious, and the rest of the plate just complimented it perfectly. I about needed a nap afterwards. It truly felt like we had the perfect meal. We now recommend Presidio Cocina to anyone and everyone!

Fourth of July weekend. We'll try have a back door and ask you to go to the front? Okay. I guess then we sat at the bar. Crowded I got bumped into 3 times. As I was on the corner. Also the bar area is crowded with items that probably should be in a area away from that seating area. Then. Had a coffee and asked for creamer got milk.in a cup. It's fine I guess but nothing to stir it with.okay ordered omelet and tamale. The food was good. But the service was great. If you have and type of anxiety. It would definitely be hard. Crowded space.the workers definitely work there behind off. Also make some sign for rear door.and I'm all for local places so I definitely want to try it again on a different occasion.

Food was really good. The two men there who served had horrible customer service. Sooo horrible, what a shame. Food is pretty pricey, can you at least have a friendly face server and who pays attention.

The details, plating and flavor profiles are an amazing dance to behold. I absolutely loved each item. The fried tacos with potatoes and cheese were so light and flavorful. There was a delicate smokey essence, delightful crunch and I could eat them at every meal. The eggs over medium were cooked perfectly with the edges crisped a bit in butter that gave it a nice taste. I added some Chile verde as they make all.of their own sauces and I had to try it

I love this place! It's a new find for me, I am a huge fan of El pastor tacos, and since visiting NYC last yr it's been tough finding tacos that can compare or compete with Los Tacos No. 1 despite living 82 miles away from the border of MX. This restaurant did not disappoint! I ordered the taco trio: Carne Asada, Cochinita Pibil, and El pastor. All were muy bueno! El pastor was made correctly with traditional pineapple, carne asada was seasoned nicely with black pepper, and the Cochinita (pork) blew me away with how juicy and tender yet flavorful it was! The guac has just the right amount of onions to it, and the salsas are spot on. They are also killin' it on the elote which was oh so creamy. I love me some fresh cotija cheese YUM YUM. The staff was also very kind and friendly. Bomb service, bomb atmosphere, and bomb food! Thanks Presidio, I will definitely be back!

Better than Barrio Cafe. Sorry (not sorry) but it is. Food is better, service is better, drinks are better. Oh and the prices are better. One of my favorite Phoenix restaurants.

Truly AAAAmazing food. My wait staff for the evening was Martin. The perfect server. He was knowledgeable about the menu, unobtrusive, but attentive. I ordered the Chile Relleno. It was one of the best plates of food I have ever had. This is no small statement. I count in that my grandmothers peas and corn bread along with some of the best restaurants in San Francisco, New York and New Orleans to name some. The Relleno is all about subtle flavors of the poblano pepper, the breading, cheese and the tomato/pepper salsa covering it all. The best Relleno I have ever had. The frijoles refritos stood out on their own. Them and the tender, perfect rice would have made a great meal on their own. All of this together made for a memorable meal. Did I mention the flan? Can you go further than amazing? Yes you can with a great Flan.

When we landed after our 21 hour journey we were tired but couldn't miss an opportunity for a good Tex-Mex dinner. I have been craving chili verde and finally got my fix here.
This place is amazing. Food is honest, simple, quality.
Service was attentive and polite.
If I am ever in Phoenix again I will come back and eat here

My favorite treat for lunch during work hours. The food is amazing. I've had the tacos, enchiladas, taquitos, and salad. I've never been let down. The only downside is that it's a bit expensive. I'd go there more often if it didn't break my wallet each time.
Basically paying dinner prices for lunch. I still recommend if you want good Mexican food.

This food is the most authentic mexican food in Arizona. It's fresh and totally delicious! It's food made in a mexican kitchen, not a mexican restaurant. Como echo en casa I can't wait to go back! Fresh tortillas too by the way. Yummy!

Very good food, especially the breakfast, the prices match the amount of food that is served. The restaurant has a nice subtle decor that welcomes anybody. Recommend this place!
