Presidio San Agustín del Tucson Museum reviews
11 Review of Presidio in Tucson on Court:
Nestled within a historic landmark, the outdoor courtyard at Presidio in Tucson on Court is a hidden gem. Our visit coincided with a captivating folklorico and mariachi performance that took place in this picturesque setting. Surrounded by the charming ambiance, we explored the gift shop and briefly admired the museum, pleasantly surprised by the unexpected treasures this place had to offer.
My friend and I attended the 2-hour walking downtown Mural tour. Dorothy Yanez, our guide is fabulous! She shared firsthand quotes and stories from the graffiti and moral artists, made sure that we had a far-away perspective to better understand the art, and knows downtown Tucson like the back of her hand. I lam very happy that she was our tour guide today. Highly recommend one of her 3 tours!
This was just ok. Most of the museum is outside so bring a hat. There are some original pieces not just replicas. Was nice to learn about history of NM
This is where Tucson began. Interesting displays on the history and lives of the early settlers.
This is similar to Sutter’s Fort in Sacramento, California. It’s a really cool piece of history. The people who work there were great guides and knew a lot about the history. Make sure you stop in the attached cafe for a nice treat!
It was wonderful and the lady was very nice and so helpful and you did a great job on the history and recommend it to my family and enjoyed the history and you are saving it and l have many photos of Tucson past and wish the city would save more of the building and it's history and like San Diego did and you did a wonderful job and thank you
This place is full of historical information and invaluable insight from members of our community to keep alive the memories of the tragic events that would take place. It's loud when they have the guns and cannons go off, and I would recommend earplugs or noise canceling headphones.
What a fantastic and historic place to host a stage for the Tucson Folk Fest this year!
Mamma's Kitchen Sink with Connie Brannock got a standing novation for an amazing and fun performance!
Very small more suitable to children. I learned more at the free visitors center in the old courthouse.
Nice museum for anyone interested in the history of Tucson or of colonial-era history of the Southwest in general. The staff were very nice and knowledgeable.
Enjoyed the tour led by a docent. She was kind enough to share what we missed since we arrived after the tour started.
