PussyCat Gelato reviews
16The gelato was wonderful, and the experience was double that! Sweetest owner around, made us feel very welcome and gave us many good recommendations
Gigi and I stopped by for Gelato after the dinner I prepared at home. The Gelato was good, but Gigi's Italian taste buds found it to be a mild flavor. Our Gelatoista was very helpful as we sampled several flavors before choosing the Berry and Cappuccino.
Had the mango and strawberry gelato.it really tasted like ice cream but the texture of sorbet. Not impressed at all, it was not very cold.as soon as she handed it to me, in a waffle cone, it was dripping all over my hand.this was last week, it was 45 degrees there, should not have melted like that. Not worth 8 dollars. I won't be back, however the decor was very cute!
What they called gelato was more like lemon ice
I received a very sarcastic response about having a sorbet and not a gelato. But I did not noticed any signage about sorbet only gelato. So I stand by my original rating
I’m only leaving this review as a public service. The sign says no fake gelato and that’s the first red flag as this is anything but the real thing. The lady behind the counter was grumpy, but I dont blame her a bit after a long day of Sedona tourists. The gelato, however, while not terrible, was just typical vegetable stabilized ice cream at a higher temp than typical. I certainly wouldn’t wanna pay 6.50 a scoop for it. We’ve been to Italy and had the real thing and we have a local shop in SLC run by Italians with imported machines and ingredients. I have a problem with ice cream shops giving gelato a bad name with this kind of bait and switch.
UPDATE TO THE ANSWER THE SHOP WHO LIED AND SAID THEY TALKED AND EXPLAINED THINGS UNDER MY ORIGINAL REVIEW.
It was 4 minutes before closing time and they said they wouldn't serve us because they close at 7. So we went across the street and bought ice cream from sabrinas. We also referred 3 other family's to the ice cream shop across the street. This picture was taken at 7: 13 pm. A couple came out and complained they were closed when the sign says open.
UPDATE Answer. Lets be honest here you NEVER talk or explained anything to me and your dumbfounded as to why this review is still up. NO its wasnt the coffee shop you think I was talking about up front outside the building it was already locked up and no one was around. I never talk to anyone that your trying to suggest i did. Our friends who actually went into your shop visited your shop the day before and talked highly about your gelato. We actually drove from another location to try it. When they showed up this 2nd time the person was serving a young couple and told the people in our group that your shop was closing at 7 and were not serving the people in our group. It was 6: 56 pm. We saw the couple walk out few minutes later heading west out of the building eating their Gelato. And you were not out there with us from 6: 53 pm thru 7: 23 pm sitting on the tables in front of building also witnessing other groups of family's going into the building also thinking the open sign belonged to your gelato shop and found out you were closed.
I see you have a horrible attitude towards some of us who gave our honest reviews and don't leave an review thats not to your liking.
Now IF your heart is where it Should be you should accept reviews good or bad without an ugly attitude.
Quirky environment but we enjoyed our desserts. Portion sizes were great, you can pick two flavors when you get a small. I feel like this place would do really well if it could get its own storefront closer to the road because it really was very delicious. Highly recommend.
I give 2 star because the staff were really rude! The old lady was extremely angry … this place is no a place if you have kids, the gelato was good.
No need to respond to my review, is my opinion my experience.
Seriously best Gelato, absolutely cool retro vibe (old cartoons playing) and the lady that works there was so friendly! Will be coming back next time I'm in Sedona!
Delicious! Refreshing! Will repeat! Quite a few flavors - enough to satisfy your gelato cravings. Cool atmosphere, great staff. (that’s a 3 scooper don’t judge) -
Honestly, meh. VERY expensive, and seriously difficult to park and find. The fudge store down the row was way better in my mind. Dunno, found it underwhelming, but read the other reviews, many people do thoroughly enjoy.
I’m super sensitive to heavily processed food flavors and chemical aftertaste. I did not have either of those issues here. Every flavor I tried was crisp, full, true to its description and absolutely delicious. Tried 6 flavors and all were 5 stars.
Dairy free offering is wonderful. Strawberry, Chocolate, Lemon, Berry, Mango and Coconut. We gleefully tried them all and the were equally delicious. Very attentive staff so sorry we failed to get the name of the woman that served us but she was terrific. Highly recommend and will visit every time we come to Sedona.
The gelato was so good, i cannot find good ice cream anywhere but this was absolutely the best, totally recommend! The waffle cones are also really really good ;)
I'm a returning customer! Everytime in I'm Sedona I stop by here. The staff is excellent and there are many choices! Highly recommend!
