Rainbow Guitars reviews
16You have to call to make an appointment. Dark as a dungeon inside. Sold me the wrong strings. I've bought many high end guitars here. Now they treat me like I'm some kid at Guitar Center. They really act like it doesn't matter that you are a long term customer.
I just purchase a nice PRS from Harvey and his crew. What a cool store, great people, great equipment. Appointment, no big deal at all, pick up the phone make the call. How friggin hard is that! Remember it’s his business, he runs it the way he wants to. You don’t have to like it, but, if you don’t make the appt, don’t bi7ch about the shop.
I will do more business with these guys as needed. They have integrity, knowledge, & not some dopey kid from Guitar ctr.waiting on you.
Harvey and the boys, thank you!
See you soon!
Thank you Rainbow Guitars for being so accommodating. I drove down from Phoenix without a reservation, and Scott and Stefan at Rainbow Guitars fit me in. They helped me find these two great Epiphone Signature Guitars, and even shared some stories while completing the purchase. Thank you for your hospitality, I will definitely be purchasing more from you in the future.
Great store! If in Tucson or willing to drive there, look online at the vast selection and make an appointment to visit the store and receive outstanding service! I picked up this beautiful Taylor after spending 2 hours with the store owner!
Spent several thousands here over the years, then they went to appointment only, which sucks. But I understand some business owners wanting to do this. I've also used their repair department a couple times and they do very good work. I just can't see myself spending any more here unfortunately, I feel like if someone wants to purchase things online they will purchase things online. A storefront is there for a reason, so people can walk in and interact with the physical product. Sure you can still schedule an appointment but most all of my instrument related purchases have been somewhat spontaneous; aka walking in and browsing. If I want to buy online I feel like most will just default to sweetwater.
By appointment only. I didn't know that, but Stefin was kind enough to accommodate me. Walked out with a Les Paul. Lovely shop, they have some really nice guitars. Worth mentioning: the setup their tech did was top notch, not sure I've played better
The repair shop set up my old guitar better than it was when new. Nice action and resonance. I'm very happy. Thanks.
I was initially put off by the appointment only thing but I’m glad I made one! If you’re in the market for a high end acoustic this is the place to go. Stefin made the experience even better with a breadth of knowledge and a low pressure sales approach. Came home with a beautiful Martin and couldn’t be happier!
They fixed the bridge on my Fender acoustic steel string guitar. Finished a week sooner than promised and did a great job.
I went to the store today and the gentleman said I can only come in by appointment only! No where online does it say it’s by appointment only! This is a joke for a small business retail store. Extremely disappointed! Will take my business elsewhere and tell everyone I know to do the same. What a Joke!
Don't really like their new business model, but this is still the best guitar store shop in town. Best repairs shop too.
Unquestionably the finest guitar store in Tucson. Stefin is an excellent journeyman guitar player who can guide you through a wonderful journey of fine acoustic guitars helping you to find that one instrument that you just can’t live without!
Went in with a friend to sell a couple of bass guitars. Arrived on time for our appointment. Harvey was great. Went over the process and price. Honest and thorough process. Was good to see there are still stores where you can actually see and touch the merchandise. New and used gear available. Make an appointment to see what they have if you need musical instruments and gear. Or knock on the door.
It's difficult to highly rate a store that has changed their business model to online only after being able to walk in and peruse inventory in the past. They're good folks with nice gear but I am not fond of the model
New business model is pretty inconvenient for anyone looking to drop in for a quick repair question or if they have an item in stock.
Tried calling and got transferred with no answer.
Don't go here.
Repair staff was rude and condescending. Acted like my visit was an imposition. I'll throw my instrument in the garbage before doing business with them.
The fact that they haven't addressed the numerous bad reviews is indicative of their poor customer service.
