Red Rock Ranger District Visitor Center reviews
22 Nice views from the station. I went to get hiking maps that the website said they carried but they are currently closed to visitors indoors. They have a couple tourist maps outside for anyone, but if you want anything more than that you are forced to go elsewhere. They had two rangers to answer questions outside.
Large parking area and easy location access.
The associates inside of this Visitor Center make you feel like a friend you can ask them anything in there right there to help you figure something out I really appreciate it this Visitor Center
The folks behind the counters at the Red Rock ranger station were sweet, informative, and obviously love to be of service in bringing people a better experience of the parks!
Good view, but hard to get information. All the pamphlet are behind the counter and the staff were always occupied so we couldn't get maps or pamplets.
A must stop before hiking or visiting Sedona. You can purchase parking permits for all trailheads.the rangers will ticket car's not displaying the parking hanger.
Great place to stop if you don't know Oak Creek and Sedona very well you can get all the info you need maps of all trails and parking passes if needed plus nice clean restrooms and a small shop if your not prepared.
The most spectacular views of Sedona from the South looking Northward are here at this stop. Thd Ranger station has a cool giftshop. The Rangers answer questions about, trails, routes and unknown sites.
I was not able to go through the whole center as it was after hours but the information outside was good and the views spectacular.
Definitely stop to grab a picture with the Smokey the Bear statue. Bathrooms are nice and you can get some pictures of the red rocks before entering fully in Sedona.
Went to obtain our firewood permit, was nice to learn history of the area and see all the local artifacts as well. Everyone there was wonderful and very helpful.
Great little visitor centre. Worth a visit if only to watch the Hummingbirds.
The scenery is amazing and a good place for the stargazing event they held.
Nice and friendly and get good info. Was pretty neat watching the Hummingbirds come right up by the feeders they have set up by the entry door?
Insane scenic approaches.i one day would like to live in sedona for it's beautiful vortex auras, and for it's beautiful scenic auras
Knowledgeable and helpful staff, interesting information about the local trail sites and historical finds, and great views.
Cool view here, plus lots of info on all of the sites nearby. It was a good place to stop and stretch our legs and decide where we were gonna go.
Friendly staff. Informative stop on our tour of the area - covering culture, flora & fauna, and historic culture of the area. Rest rooms.
Great displays, as well as a 15 min movie every half hour. Friendly and kind voleneers, as well as the Rangers are on staff 7 days a week from 9 am to 430 pm everyday. Thank you all for what you do
We talked to an older gentleman that had lived in the area for many years. He was so informative! We really appreciated his kindness. This is a great place for information on hiking trails (backpacking or day hikes), mountain biking trails, camp sites, and other touristy activities. We also learned where the best views are for each location we planned to travel. Very helpful!
Stopped here on my whim and worked out for us. Extremely helpful and friendly Rangers here for trail information. But the best part was some local advice for eating and local shopping for going to the Petrified Forest.
The have plenty of trail info and maps, plus the overlook is great for some picture taking before getting to Sedona.
