I have fallen three times in the last 15 months and broken bones each time. I am so thankful that it was suggested that I come to the Rehabilitation Hospital Northern Arizona. Not only do I get 3 1/2 hours of Rehab each day, but they truly live up to their motto of compassionate patient care. Every PT, OT, nurse, tech, and doctor here have been skilled and caring. After two weeks here I’ve gotten stronger, and I have learned so much about how to avoid falls in the future. Priceless information for this 83-year-old woman who wants to resume my active life.

My husband suffered a stroke on Feb 1 2023. After a few days in the hospital he was transferred here.
During a very stressful time we both felt the absolute care and concern for him.
The staff is incredibly caring.
We are so grateful for the nurses, aides, therapy staff that helped him and I feel that had SO much of the reason he continued to push hard to get his body to respond and learn about dealing with his
paralysis. You ALL were a blessing during a difficult time in our lives.
And Lynn at the front desk was so friendly and welcoming with my daily visits.
Overall wonderful experience. Thank you!

My mother was cared for at the Rehabilitation Hospital of Northern Arizona. The progress and strength she developed has allowed her to continue to live independently. The Drs, therapists and nurses were outstanding. We are so grateful for each and everyone who took care of her! Truly an exemplary rehabilitation hospital.

My stay after having spinal disc surgery was a positive one. The staff there- to a person- was attentive, knowledgeable, empathetic and wanted nothing more than to help with the healing process. The rehab staff knows what they are doing and the support staff are always available for whatever you need. When I felt down and that I wasn't progressing, they assured me and comforted me and did whatever they could to make me feel better. I would highly recommend this facility for anyone needing rehab services after surgery or injury. Thank you to all and for all you did for me to accelerate my healing process.

Rehabilitation Hospital of Northern Arizona is amazing. From Doctors, Nurses, Staff, Chefs the support and care was top drawer. The quality of the physical plant is excellent as is all the physical therapy equipment. The quality of the food is that of a high end restaurant. But the best experience is how well you are taken care of and looked after by a wonderful staff of nurses. I highly recommend this facility.

Lots of different physical therapist to work with. Their number one goal is to get you moving and back on your feet safely.
Everyone is helpful here, from scheduling your workout times, to getting you to the lunch room.

My Dad stayed at RHNA for about 3-4 months. He suffered a spinal cord injury and at first we had some communication issues with the facility. Once we were able to discuss and clarify matters I was very happy with the care my father received. The staff went above and beyond to communicate with our family and keep us informed. My dad said the therapists were amazing. Dr. Balouch was very kind and attentive to my father's needs. He even went as far as going home and returning to the facility after my Dad had been readmitted after surgery. Things didn't go absolutely perfect while my dad was there but I give this facility 5 stars because sometimes it's how issues are resolved that make all the difference.

My father in law had a prolonged stay here. Initially we had immense problems with the nursing staff being spread too thin, and miscommunication with Doctor Baloch. After submitting complaints, Doctor Baloch and the CEO of the facility personally met with my wife and I to remedy the issues. The facility has been great ever since we addressed the problems. They even were committed to doing regular meetings with us to track my father in law's progression.

Hopefully none of you will need to have the help of Rehabilitation Hospital of Northern Arizona, but if you do, I assure you there is no better place for you or a loved one. My husband was a patient in the hospital for 2 weeks, arriving there, after experiencing a series of strokes, unable to care for himself. After the excellent care and the dedication of all staff he walked out (with a cane) and can take care of himself with minimal outside help. These associates of the hospital are a totally dedicated group of individuals with one goal.to have their patients return to a normal life. Everyone in the hospital not only helped my husband, but they also answered all my questions and communicated with me on a daily basis. What a phenomenal group of professionals. Also, Bob said the food is excellent! Thank you everyone for all you have done for us in giving us back the Bob we know! Bev Hert

No one can say staying at an Acute Rehabilitation Hospital is wonderful, but when it has wonderful staff, it certainly can make for a more pleasant experience. I stayed at RHNA for a couple weeks in February 2022 after a TKR (total knee replacement). Every nurse, PCT, therapist, and administrative staff (I feel) genuinely cared about me, and were concerned about me being comfortable and getting well. I’d love to start naming names, but I would be mortified if later I found someone was left out, they are all winners. In reflecting back over several decades, I don’t recall meeting a kinder and more caring doctor than Dr. Balouch, the icing on the cake. I’ve read comments about staff being spread thin and lack of attention, but I can say with all certainty and honesty.perhaps, but it’s far more attention than one will get at any Medical Center. I have always been a difficult patient, for reasons I won’t go into, and here was no exception. Any situation that was unpleasant or ugly was created or initiated by me. They never let on to that nor brought it to my attention. Class. If I were on staff and had to rate me as a patient, I’d give me one star. They treated me like five stars.

The place is more worried about money then the actual patient. Staff is spread so thin that they don’t get to you in time to go to the bathroom then get yelled at for peeing in your bed. I tell all my friends to not go to this place! Even the staff don’t want to be there.

Non responsive to requests to care for elderly family member. Apparently can’t be bothered with family’s attempts to help admitted patient.

Effective rehabilitation treatment in a pleasant environment. Competent & Compassionate staff. Staff kept us informed of my mothers progress after her recent stroke during her inpatient recovery/therapy phase.

Very well appointed with spacious rooms. Staff very patient, compassionate & knowledgeable. My husband has been there twice & looks forward to having his needs taken care of. I would recommend this facility to others who require this type of rehabilitation.
