The customer service is fantastic at this location! Gina (mgr) went above and beyond to listen to my issue and address it promptly. I felt heard and that she understood my product concern. I'm blown away how accommodating she was with my issue. Thank you Gina! A shout out to Mitchell as well, as he found me some products to try out for replacement. People and amazing service like this is why I will continue to give them my business! Thank you for the exceptional customer service, Cheers!

My experience at this REI was AMAZING.
I was having a difficult time finding a sleeping bag that was exactly what i was looking for, but i was ok with the one that i had- but when i mentioned that i couldnt find the one i wanted, the cashiers went WAY above and beyond and not only found the perfect bag for me, but found one that was 50% off!
That is literally 1/3 of what i was going to pay, and they really worked for it. And the rei branded bag that i ended up getting is REALLY amazing for the price!

Had the BEST experience today at REI. I went in to buy a jacket with no knowledge of where to start. Jacob was so patient and really helped me narrow my options and guided me to find my perfect fit. When checking out Lauren was not only super kind but informed me about what all of what REI does for community. I am so happy I now support a company that gives back and then more. I hope this comment sheds light on how great your staff is especially the two mentioned.

I’ve been going to high end bike shops all my life so I was a little nervous about going to REI for a high end bike, after working with David and the rest of the shop I couldn’t be more satisfied with the work and the help I received! I would definitely recommend going there for a bike!

Good stuff, good selection, but a bit pricy. Good place for higher end gear. Very good quality on most stuff. The have clothing, bikes, climbing gear, backpacks, tents, and lots of camping support gear.

I just went to REI Tucson to check out their Labor Day sale. Needed a light wool layer for Ireland. While there I encountered an accessibility issue. I asked to speak to a manager. I got Pat, who was there in a flash. His response was on point, he completely resolved the problem and was super nice. As someone who has had a disability for most of my life, I can tell you this is not the way it usually goes so I really appreciate it. And as can be the case at REI, I ended up spending more than I planned but I feel good about it. Thank you REI and Pat, you rock!

Called in advance because I live over 60 miles away, to see if they had bike racks. Not only was the guy on the phone quite arrogant and told me there were a few to choose from.he was wrong. There was 1. Waste of time and gas.

I have been a member for years and I still love this place. The salespeople do not work on commission and are always available and knowledgeable. When I buy hiking boots, they sales people are experienced hikers and know the pros and cons of hiking. Same goes for when I buy climbing shoes. I'm also in my late 50s and there'sno age shame of being older than their average customers. Their prices may be higher than on-line, but the 10% rebate helps and they earn the premium because of their customer service and accomodating return policy.

Drove all the way to this place because the website says they close at 9. They really close at 6. Such a waste of time

Love REI, they back pretty much everything they sell in their store, and it is a very pleasant store to shop in. Lots of awesome great for all types of hobbies and adventures, and process are topically pretty competitive! Not to mention perks that being a member get you. Been shopping REI since I was a young lad in scouts.

Probably the most robust outfitter in Tucson. Great gear selection and a return policy that can't be be beat by anyone. Make sure to join the co-op for those sweet dividends each year.

Great place for the outdoor items. The items there are high quality, but sometimes a little high on prices.

A terrible experience on 2/9/19. In shoe department, clerk waiting on us had went and left us for another customer finally came back and after we asked him to. He was so confused about was on sale my wife left. She came back but we both decided we had enough. Bottom line REI missed a 200.00 sale yesterday. Not there usual customer service.

Last night I took my first class at The Tucson REI, a class on how to change a flat on a bicycle. The class went beyond changing a flat; it was a primer on bicycle maintenance and how to keep flats from happening. This class was the best $25 I have spent. Sarah, the instructor, was excellent. I was lucky; the other people enrolled in the class didn’t show, so I had one-on-one instruction on my own bicycle.

THE go-to outfitter for virtually any self-propelled outdoor adventure including hiking, backpacking, climbing, biking, kayaking and more. Premium quality equipment at very competitive prices. Super knowledgeable staff that often say, "I actually own that (fill in the blank) and used it on my last backpacking. " Their insight and advice is second to none. And their return policy is the stuff of legend.

A better place to shop!

I needed a pair of hiking boots and having been to Dick’s Sporting Goods in the past, where the women hiking equipment selection is below par and the service is practically non-existent, I decided to drive the 15 extra miles to the REI store in Tucson.

I had never been to an REI store before. I came from Florida where hiking is a rarity and the nearest REI store was too far away.

As soon as I walked in, I got excited. It seemed that this store was more focused on local activities, such as hiking, mountain biking and camping vs at Dick’s where they focuse mostly on national sports.

I went straight to the shoe department and immediately a super knowledgeable sales person was assigned to me who anticipated my needs and tastes almost miraculously. I even asked him, are you psychic?

It took a while to try every pair I wanted to try on and he was so patient and kind throughout the process. He answered any question I had with ease, and made great suggestions for me without ever being the slightest bit pushy. I do not know if they work on commission at REI’s or not, because he even suggested that if I liked a pair that wasn’t available in my size, to go buy it online. Wow!

Luckily, I did find a beautiful pair in my size that fit me well, but I should correct myself right now because luck had nothing to do with this. It was all due to the wonderfully large selection and the perfect assistance that I found a great pair of hiking boots that supported my ankles and fit my narrow feet like a glove.

I will be going back to REI on December 29 when they are having a huge after-Christmas sale. I’m counting down the days. I’m hoping to get a tent with camping equipment so I can see what it is like to be in the wilderness at night.

Thank you REI and especially, thank you sales person who helped me!

Excellent service, especially in the shoe department by Jacob. They have a guarantee that if you're hiking boots don't work after trying them out on the trail a couple times bring them back. Pretty amazing.
We did the $20 Co-Op fee, good for life and pays many dividends. Nice store, nice people.

I've been a member of REI for over 20 years and was really surprised at how much they've changed. This store, although 2 stories, had very little clothing in stock. No pants in my size nor in my roommate's. I guess I'll have to order online. Oh well.
