-Ethel was actively transphobic to me for no reason, sharing personal beliefs she should have kept to herself.
-Ethel raised her voice with me in anger for a prescription I took SIX years ago

UPDATE: I did not want to initially but I gave Resilient Health another chance. I filed a complaint about the person I talked about above and the manager I spoke to was really kind to me about it. I have a case manager now (Danielle!) who is AMAZING and I feel way better about my ability to get care here. Updated the stars to 3, will come back to add more if I continue to get more good care here than the one bad experience I had.

I receive mental health services at Resilient Health. The staff always treats me with respect, dignity and kindness. My treatment team provides me with individualized care tailored to my needs. They have been a huge part of my growth and recovery. Thank you, Resilient Health!

I see Amber and she’s so attentive and listens to my needs and cares about what I’m saying. I love going here.

So we tried this place again after we had a very bad experience 3 years ago.

This time the person that was supposed to do the intake had a family emergency and wasn't here. The manager and the other intake knew for hours but they failed to contact us. We spent money on an uber to find out the appointment was not going to happen. My kiddo is now on the edge of going into crisis because of these people when she was so excited and being open minded even after the first bad experience.

Advice.don't bring your kids here. They truly do not care how their actions will impact those with special needs.

Danny Westbrook thinks he can give mental health diagnosis. This is unethical. SMI “case managers” think they have absolute power & authority. There are zero professional standards or ethics. Doctors, psychiatrist, psychologist or even MSW are needed to prescribe medications, evaluate mental health diagnosis & troubleshoot crisis. Danny & Sandra believe they can treat & diagnose without any professional standards or ethics. Sandra & Danny are not qualified to diagnose & treat SMI patients. There needs to be a doctor. They mishandled my adult disabled son to the point of jail & losing everything. Danny & Sandra disregard & alienate family. Placed my son in unsafe housing, refused family therapy, negligently refused to have him evaluated in a crisis, never provided therapy, social work or any bridge building with loved ones or professionals. They literally put him in danger, destabilized him and alienated family. They have destroyed him. Yet still hold onto his SMI case and won’t allow a transfer. They hang up on family, threaten family. This is abuse. We are filing an investigation and grievance. Just warning other families that Resilient Health does not have any qualified mental health professionals, just a Physician Assistant who sees patients by phone every three months. That’s it. Danny and Sandra run the place like cowboys or stormtroopers. They don’t fact check. They are hurting mental health patients. Peer counseling is not enough in a crisis. Be warned. This place is dangerous

They don't actually care. The name is great and they seem fine at first but you realize with time they aren't actually doing anything. The "therapist" I have been talking to is supposedly a trauma therapist and she's a baby. So young. She works under a license therapist and really has no real say and has to be very careful about what she says as she's not an actual therapist yet. She talks about getting through talk therapy like there aren't people with major mental issues that may need to be in talk therapy throughout their lives. And how does one work through major trauma when you're only offered coping pamphlets as a response? ! I kid you not, you get pamphlets instead of any real connection or insight from the therapist. Grief? Here's a pamphlet on how to understand and cope with grief. Or a grief support group but then you can't see the talk therapist as often. All better. And Im just going to say it isn't it a HIPAA violation to ask why I want to speak with my doctor (who isn't a doctor, she's a physician's assistant.a very overworked physician's assistant) ? Why would I talk about my medical situation with a stranger at the front desk and not the physician's assistant I was told I had to speak with because low and behold my "therapist " couldn't help me? Then you try to say she can't help me either, like you know? It's none of your business why I want to talk to my doctor. I pay you remember? ! Stop treating patients like cattle. This place should be shut down or hire better people who actually care and aren't just working to get paid. These are actual lives you're dealing with.

Not sure what happened with this place. They were great at first, started taking my son here a year ago but in the last several months they will not return calls at all. They were supposed to send a prescription for my son to the pharmacy but never did. Tried to follow up to find out where it went but no one answers the phone and you leave messages and no one calls back. Finally got a hold of the medical assistant once who said she would get a message to the provider. That was a week ago, never heard back and now when u call again, no answer. Sadly, we have to move on and find an new provider. Seems this happens a lot with these types of practices.

New patients beware. This provider puts money first, patients second. The employees show little compassion or diligence, which is absolutely required to be working in this field. I had issues every step of the way while trying to become a new patient:

My appointment was scheduled two weeks ahead of time. The morning of, an employee called to collect my portion of the payment, but did not tell me the amount of the payment (admittedly, I didn’t ask) before hanging up. I then saw they had charged me almost $100, which was approximately double what my copay should have been. When I called back to question the amount and spoke with the billing department, they advised me the amount I paid was due to my deductible coming before my copay, then again disconnected without elaborating.

I confirmed with my insurance that my deductible didn’t apply to this type of visit and only the copay needed to be paid. I called again to let Resilient Health know, at which point they advised me they would refund the full payment, bill my insurance, and then bill any remainder to me. I confirmed my telehealth appointment for that day again, and was told I would receive a phone call at my appointment time.

15min past my appointment time, I still had not received any phone call or email regarding my appointment, so I called again. This time, I was told that because I was being refunded and they were billing my insurance first to “confirm my coverage”, my appointment had been cancelled without my knowledge. I was told the only way to schedule an appointment would be to pay another $100, after which I would possibly receive a refund.

As someone who’s worked in billing insurance, I know that it takes about 15min maximum to confirm coverage and whether a deductible applies. To both inaccurately bill a patient and give them incorrect information about their appointment was blatantly unprofessional and borderline malevolent. Cancelling a necessary appointment without notice can have dangerous consequences for patients, and I certainly hope no other patients are taken advantage of this way in the future.

I don’t like how they handle my appointment and the fact of I have a speech handicapped. This is the 3nd mental health place same problem, getting super hang over it and not just act like I’m a normal person.
Before moving to this state of Arizona I never had problems with getting help in my life because places over worrying for nothing. I am fighting this one because they have an art program!

Do not go to this provider if you have schizophrenia or any other serious mental illness that requires lab work on a regular basis.

They refuse to prescribe the necessary medication and will instead fill you with ineffective and unnecessary medication and then say they can’t treat you anymore.

Avoid these people at all costs! Especially Anthony Kimani.

They hold themselves to a higher standard, then exceed it. Always very professional, clean, and straight to the poin.

Can't say enough good things about Resilient and the help they've given my daughter. I don't know what we'd do without their help.
Please call then and see what they can do for you or your kiddos.

I’ve been seeing my doctors at resilient health for nearly two years and i have only ever felt listened to, respected, and treated with care.i have made more progress in treatment with them than ever before, and i’ve seen a lot of doctors in the past since i was in my early teens.the negative reviews make me bummed, but seeking out help for something so fragile is hard and everyone has different experiences.i love this office!

Dr Lyons is the best primary care provider I've ever had! She truly listens and has provided solutions for me after other docs have minimized my symptoms. It turns out I needed surgery for a few things. She always listens to what I have to say and has the best bedside manner!

I’ve been going to the Gilbert office for over 2 yrs now, at first things were great with my psych and counselor, which both left not too long after. The new counselor they put me with I just didn’t have the connection with. I did ask several times to be switched and they never get back to me and if they do they put me in with someone who was leaving in 2 was, then tried putting me back with the one I asked to be switched from. Then the psych docs have all been Skype after the original left, I had no issues with the new ones which have also been changed like 3 times an today I have my telephone call with the new one filling in and he wanted to try an take me off one of my meds, my anxiety med klonopin, I take it for anxiety an I’ve had seizures. I also am in methadone and everyone knows, both docs are aware of this and have been for these last few years. My life is so chaotic right now, really chaotic so when I’m telling him this why would he now make it very clear that he wanted me to see someone else in month so he filled it for now which he hasn’t even done yet, but now I have to worry about what’s gonna happen in a month. I have had so many surgeries I live in severe chronic pain an then add all this chaos I’m in I’ve been feeling like I’m gonna drop dead. I’m just so tired of this bs, constant changes an having to add another stressor an more anxiety on top of what is already there. I’m just so mad, upset, angry. Yes, I know maybe the new doctor will keep things the way they are, but I guarantee that he prob put things in his notes for the new one who is actually new to this office and for anyone who’s been through the hell of chronic illnesses an having to move all the time cuz I haven’t had a whole lot of help an a solid place to just try to heal an have any kind of peace. I know it’s silly to worry about the unknown, I do know this, but if you’ve been in my shoes you’d understand why this has me so upset an wondering how much more I can take.

Excellent facility. The counseling helps a lot and so does the psychiatric care. Its nice having a primary care doctor right there in the facility. I also really appreciate the walk and talks with my case manager and visits with the peer support staff. All in all a great team.
