Rest Area EB reviews
11It’s an oasis in the middle of desert vending machines are dispensing freezing cold beverages.
Pros: large, clean bathrooms; easy access in and out; covered picnic tables; the entire site is well maintained; vending machines; information and historical placards.
Cons: commercial and private vehicles not separated; no grassy area to lie down and sleep (I had to sleep on a picnic table) ; tons of cockroaches. I had my helmet on the picnic bench and after my snooze there were bunch inside my helmet.
Very nice rest stop and very well maintained bathrooms and grounds. Also have vending machines
Might be clean, but the doors are WAY too short. I could stand and could see inside the stall.
No restrooms Saturday and Sunday is bigger problem families and trucks driver overnight without restrooms
Fairly well-maintained rest stop. The bathrooms are clean. There's food and drinks available for purchase. Only thing that got me were the stall door size. Like you can literally see someone unless they're sitting down.
There are benches and plenty of parking, if weather allows for you to truly take a rest from a long drive. Otherwise you'll be better off resting in a car with the AC running. Benches are covered but not circulating air so it's basically a greenhouse that gets hotter when the sun's up
Opuntia spp; creosote bush; barrel cactus; Palo Verde trees. Saw a few pigeons. Did not see any snakes or lizards but they're there.
I don't recommend letting dogs off leash unless you got booties for them. The sand / asphalt / concrete will burn their paws
Clean restrooms and open areas for pets. Trucker and car friendly and plenty of parking available.
Mens restroom was closed. Had a sign up to use Womens/opposite whatever that means. I was already uncomfortable and then got yelled at by some crazy lady. I can't really blame her but Read all the signs don't just look at the picture! Next time I'll just pee on a tree
Easy on and off access. Plenty of parking. Always clean. I stop here just before entering the Phoenix area for a rest.
Nothing special old rest area with some tiny short little doors very awkward to use the toilet if you’re on the taller side
The rest area was not only exceptionally clean, but it also had some great areas to walk and stretch my legs after being on the road for a while.
Upon arriving at the rest area, I was immediately struck by how well-maintained everything was. The parking lot was free of any trash or debris, and the bathrooms were spotless. The rest area was equipped with ample seating, both indoor and outdoor, which made it easy for travelers to take a break and relax.
But what really stood out to me about this rest area was the walking paths. There were multiple paths to choose from, ranging in difficulty and length. Some paths were paved and easily accessible, while others led through wooded areas and required a bit more effort. Regardless of which path I chose, I was treated to beautiful scenery and fresh air, which made for a refreshing break from the confines of my car.
Overall, I would highly recommend this rest area to anyone in need of a break while traveling. The cleanliness of the facilities and the variety of walking paths made for a pleasant and enjoyable stop on my journey. I hope to have the opportunity to stop at this rest area again in the future!
