There are always going to be pros and cons with every builder but we are very happy with the communication we had, the follow up with the super intendant, the follow up with the after closing contact, and getting our needs met.
We LOVE our home and are so happy that we went with this builder.
We have a lot of friends in the next community over that built with William Lyon. We have heard from them and read tons of complaints from folks as we all share a community Facebook page. We feel very blessed that we went with Richmond American and had a good experience.
Meet with Michele Lee and Jackie Christensen at Meridian site to find out they are either liars or just have no clue on how to treat customers. Expressed buying two homes with a friend. When we meet with Jackie there were six lots available. Had the house I was interested in assigned to a lot and drawn on the lot, along with this Jackie priced out the two houses for us. At this time she said a price increase was coming May 1st. We said this was not a problem because we were going to sign contracts the next day and this was two weeks away. She refered us to meet with her partner Michelle Lee to write up the contracts.
We sent Michele a text the next day for us to meet with her to give her two checks for the two houses. MICHELE informed me that only two lots were left and if we wanted them they had a premium cost. Not happy that the lots we expressed interest in were sold without ever contacting us. But we agreed to meet with her the next day IF SHE WOULD hold the two lots and we would be bringing checks to buy the two homes. When we arrived the next day with checks in hand Michelle informed us that six lots were available But the homes we wanted now had a price increase. She said she spoke to her Vice President about us buying the homes and he said too bad, we would have to pay the increase.
Both of us were furious and let her know that this was not ethical and very bad from a Customer Service image.
BUYER BEWARE WITH THESE TWO LADIES AND RICHMOND AMERICAN NEEDLESS TOO SAY WE DID NOT BUY FROM THEM.
