Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch reviews
37This is our go to local place to walk around and get fresh air. Close to the canal path, there are options for where to walk. Lots of shade and depending when you go the basins may have water in them which means good birding. There's also a pond for fishing, although we have never caught anything there. Also there is a playground and an observatory, but I have never been to that. A couple restrooms scattered throughout and lots of local wildlife.
Really awesome place to go saw so many different animals so many paths was there for nearly an hour and a half and still didn't walk the whole area. Definitely recommends going here bring your kids bring your dog bring your camera way more activities than you can imagine possible
What a fantastic community resource! In a 45 minute walk we saw 36 species of feathered friend's, bunnies galore, a full moon rising and an Arizona golden pink and royal purple sunset.and an American White Pelican! A glorious way to end a day.
Fun park with lots of space. The play areas are simple but keep kids busy for hours. Some of the areas are staged after dinosaur dig sites. Good place to walk your dog out hang out with (or without) your kids.
Beautiful, beautiful place to visit. You walk through different parts of the desert landscape and the cacti are amazing. There is plenty of space to have parties and there places for the kids to play. If you play Pokemon Go then there are plenty of stops to spin whilst getting a great walk in.
Beautiful place, multi purposed, something for everyone, no noise, no garbage, well maintained. If you want to feed the ducks be sure to bring some bird food, kernel corn or whole grain cereal. Enjoy.
We love taking the dogs for walks here. This is a great place for bird watching, walking, and bicycling.
Fun, unique park with a pond for fishing, walking trails, and lots of Arizona plants and wildlife. My kids especially love the dinosaur excavation site. The library is great as well, and has a wonderful selection for children's books.
Love this place! Just be careful, some of the areas close soon after sundown, so any trip you plan make sure that you are going to be there before then.
Horrible, the 8,000 morm kids won't shut up. It's overly crowded and there's never any where to park. Way too noisy and congested thanks to the Gilbert families with 9 kids. Smells like horse manure like all Gilbert. Went on a Saturday and saw 90 % obese people walking with their face glued to their phones.
This is a wonderful place to walk - once you get into the preserve you start to forget you are in a city!
I love this place I work in behavioral health and I can take the children I serve to this wonderful spot and it helps in calming them down. A plus the library is right next door we will go there as well.
I love that I can relax on the trails and find some serenity. It's my go to place when I need to pray and meditate in a nature setting.
Has become one of my favorite walking spots. The view of the seguaro
Cactus garden at sunrise is a must.
Amazing place for nature and photography. Can be very busy on weekends, but am excellent location nonetheless. Worth the drive.
Fantastic park setting with the water front, trails are kept clean and the places to sit were plentiful. Beautiful place to take photos at and offers a variety of settings. Parking is kind of hassle but offers overflow parking in the library area. First time here was great and will surely not be my last!
Love this little oasis in the desert. The bird watching is top notch and is nice to walk around most of the year. While you can fish, it's not a great place to catch anything but definitely relaxing to be at. It's proximity to the library provides great facilities
Great place to take pictures, picnics, meditate, bring the kids. Ducks are so friendly ~nature at it's best~~
There is a fun activity there for kids or adults, people hide rocks around the park for others to find. (Mesa Gilbert Rocks on Facebook)
Husband and kiddos go every weekend. We went during the Christmas lights and had a lovely time together walking around and enjoying the holidays lights. Then when family from out of town was here 4 Christmas we went Christmas day after dinner and walked around together. Had a wonderful day and highly recommend you go and walk around. Great way getting your steps in
