Rise Equipment Recycling Center reviews
7 The people who work there are extremely rude and non-helpful.
They over charge for donated equipment. Not to mention the counter help has no idea what they have in stock.
TERRIBLE. I will never return again. I was asked leave because I didn't haven an "approved" mask.
Went to see about a refurbished and updated laptop. Gentleman there was very kind and helpful. Was able to find one capable of all I needed for under $200.00. That included adding a wireless mouse. Very happy.
Super helpful folks doing great work to keep electronic waste out of our rivers and aquifers!
Always a great price and very helpful staff. A great place to find lightly used electronics!
Over due on a review for this place. Where to begin. Being a former volunteer for years you can see the underground of the place. Without Cope Community Services the place wouldn't exist as a non~profit. I'd say it's all for profit just to stay open which is understandable. The recycling is a doorway to help the environment in our landfills. That was the reason for volunteering and staying busy in my sobriety. The egotistical Clown of a supervisor across the street always talked about his retirement and not really cared about the yard or the ppl that was working for him. And then on one occasion a employee and I had a difference of a opinion. And wished me dead on a text message. Say what dude? That's when I drawed the line and never returned. Not knowing if it would act out. Without the volunteers that work at the place the outfit couldn't operate.
On a different note. They are contracted to pick up all merchandise good or bad from Costco to make space for themselves. That's a good thing until you find that they will try and fix the item to resale in the store. But very close to the same price Costco sells it for. Well for the consumer I think it's best to go to Costco and get a warranty. Or at least you'll be able to return it if anything was wrong with it. What this place lack of is compassion and leadership. After all you are getting free labor from volunteers that work harder than the employees. SMH. I haven't met one employee that liked working at the place. Heads always down in the morning hatin life. Kinda tells ya something don't it? Peace
Came on 4/18/19. There was a sign on the door that said they were closing early, but would resume regular hours tomorrow. Came back on 4/19/19 and they were closed early again. No sign, nothing. Have been in here before and seen the person behind the counter watching movies and not caring about what was happening. It is absolutely true that they have some good deals, but the customer service is non-existent.
