Romanelli's Italian Deli reviews
25Awesome little Italian deli with a small grocery. I had them make me the Italian Stallion sub and it was absolutely delicious. So I had them wrap up everything I needed to make it at home. Fast, friendly service from a very personable staff.
! Love the vibe, I would recommend this place to anyone. The people are so polite and helpful. The sandwiches are delicious, the cookies. OMG are you kidding me? Simply wonderful!
We have been hearing about this place since before we had moved to Phoenix and we finally went! This place is gonna be trouble for us, from the desserts in the cases up front, to the deli in the back. It smells so good when you walk in and the staff is very friendly. We'll definitely be going back for more!
Deli counter and grocery area are amazing. Employees are fantastic. Super helpful. Sandwiches are made to order as you watch. Questions asked about proportions and cuts. The confections and pastries are scrumptious looking. Great selections of meats, cheeses breads, pastas, condiments, etc. Only negative is the neighborhood is schetchy. Stepping inside is like walking into Italy.
I absolutely adore this place. I've already gone back for another sandwich from their deli. The cannolis were awesome! I can't wait to try their other treats!
Romanelli's is a cute little Italian deli and grocery. When I first walked in I caught a faint whiff fresh baked bread and was treated to the sound of old blue eyes.when I sat in the cozy a dining area to eat my sandwich I noticed that there was an ample supply of meat and the bread was soft and fresh with great texture and flavor. The lettuce was finely shredded and all the ingredients in just the right proportions to make their presence known in every bite. At $8 for a 10 inch sandwich I feel like it's a pretty good value and the fact that they use premium boar's Head meats and cheeses doesn't hurt either. I strongly recommend Romanelli's.
If you like REAL Italian food, you will absolutely LOVE this place! I'm all Italian and I've been to delis and restaurants all over the valley and this place is my absolute favorite. The moment you open the door you're greeted with the aroma of the phenomenal food- the bread, homemade cookies, meats, cheeses, and the prepared, ready to eat foods like chicken parm, sausage and peppers. This is genuine, real, homemade stuff here. Everything they do, they do right. It's all the little details that separate Romanelli's from the rest. The super thin sliced cold cuts, the amazing homemade Italian sausage, and a dessert case to die for- the best cannoli I've ever had anywhere! I honestly can't say enough about this place. It's a one of a kind, family owned and operated business- the kind of place that has all but completely vanished. Replaced by crappy, corporate, chain restaurants and sandwich shops- Romanelli's is a look back at how things used to be when families put their hearts and love into their business. They celebrate their heritage with pride and it shows!
Love this outpost of all things Italian! Cookies, bread, cannoli! Pasta. A much better place than Niccoli's
The best Italian food whether your getting a sandwich for lunch or a hit dinner or a make it yourself dinner or a cannoli I've been going there since high school. 22 years and never dissappointed. Their deli special sandwich is great too or their jarred homemade sauce.
I am here in Arizona visiting mother in hospital and a staff member raved about this place so I had to check it out for myself. It's family owned very helpful and very pleasant. I will definitely tell my family and friends about this place.
I love coming to this place! The people are so kind, warm and friendly. They make the place, not the things they sell inside, and that makes me feel like I'm at home.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Large variety of items to choose from. The prices are not bad either.
Great Italian/Chicago deli. I enjoy going there and getting the great specialty items that are not available anywhere else in town. And the counter is great for Italian specializes.
I've been eating/shopping at Romanelli's for 12 years, always amazing food the sandwiches seriously are big enough for 2-3 meals. Italian market has a great selection and a good selection of fresh made treats Italian wedding cookies melt in your mouth. I love this plans.
Been coming to Romanellis for about 29yrs. Old style Italian deli.deli counter.great sandwich made to order.the best 6 foot sub around.they have the best Homemade Italian sausage hot or sweet.great variety on stock.nice Italian dessert.great section of olives.family owned and very friendly.plenty of parking.always busy.staff very helpful.great selection of of olive oil.good section cheeses.if its Italian this is the place.like going back to the old Italian deli.
Super specific Italian offerings. From fresh mozzarella to gelato to dry goods to amazing prosciutto; they have it all! Super friendly staff. I forgot an item and they bent over backwards to help me. You must try! The only problem (this is my fault) is in this desert I forgot my insulated bag and frozen ice thingies so I couldn’t buy anything frozen. So plan ahead if you’re not close. I will next time
Love this place! The owners and staff are always pleasant and the food is so authentic. The variety of food and items you can buy are incredible.
If you love Italian food and I mean REAL Italian food then I highly recommend Romanelli's. We cater their food at work very often.
Cute little store/deli soon as you walk in you just feel comfortable. There's a reason they've been around so long that's for sure. I love this place!
What a joke. I ordered an italian stallion on italian bread, and the bread was so tough that I'm surprised that they were able to cut it. Also, no vinaigrette? Makes for a pretty bland italian sandwich. Save your money, and just put the ingredients in an old boot, because might be able to actually chew through the boot.
Best cookies just my grandmothers made and it's been there for years and the sandwiches and well everything is so freshly made and tasty and the staff is the best
