Kind of ridiculous that they charge extra for another vehicle but the camp ground was nice. They have a storage container for your food, I froze almost to death so make sure you bring warm clothes and blanket for the night. The bathroom was close to the campsite, and it has spectacular views.

THE CAMP HOSTS CARLOS (assistant manager) AND LAURIE ARE ABSOLUTELY HORRID.

(2 stars for the lovely campsite/lake, 0 for the hosts)

The harassment my family and I received while camping was unreal. If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing camping getaway, do not go to Rose Canyon Campground. These hosts will harrass you non stop from the time you arrive until the time you leave. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a host named Tyler. He was very welcoming, friendly and had a little dog with him. Told us our cars were fine as they were, we need not pay any extra fees, and to enjoy our time. The next day, we were approached by Laurie. She zoomed in on her golf cart and immediately started ordering us to pay for extra fees (after previous host told us we did not have to pay), move our cars, and demanding dogs to be leashed (even when another host did not have their dog on leash). She didn’t even introduce herself or say so much as “hi” prior to STOMPING around our campsite, demanding things. We did put dogs on leashes and moved our cars, but did not agree with paying for extra vehicles as the sign at the entrance stated you can have ANY 2 VEHICLES per campsite, which was reiterated by the initial host who welcomed us. At one point, Laurie addressed CHILDREN and adults at our campsite with the same attitude, literally YELLING at them etc. We were also approached by Carlos immediately after Laurie left - demanding much of the same (also without introducing himself), threatening to call the sheriff on us for loading a vehicle nearby the campsite. We were threatened with a sheriff call multiple times during our approx. 72hr camping trip. The sheriff was called at one point and even she recommend we get the hosts names offline (as they would not share their names with us) and file a complaint. The actual manager was unavailable during our entire stay (supposedly-this is what Carlos told us). Laurie waited and watched us pack our stuff on the day of departure - I assume ready and waiting to call the sheriff if we went one minute past check out time. Both of these hosts have absolutely NO customer service at all - to say the least, they are terrible people and I hope their contract is cancelled soon so that people can enjoy Rose Canyon Campground without receiving constant harrassment.

It is extremely disappointing to plan a camping trip to see family, some you haven’t seen in years and some whom it could be their last family camping trip, only to receive this atrocious treatment. It is a lovely campground but the camp hosts are repellent.

This is a fun and beautiful campground! Unfortunately our experience was not great because of some very aggressive campground hosts. We reserved 5 camping spaces, and were told 2 vehicles were allowed per camping spot. The first day we arrived, there was no issue at all. The second day, a very aggressive lady named Laurie came onto our campground demanding that we pay day rates for any additional vehicles over 5 (1 per camp site). We were a bit confused and taken back by the aggressive manner in which she approached us, accusing us of trying to “break the rules”, etc. She called the sheriff to intervene after we stated what we were told and didn’t just hand over the extra money for the few additional vehicles that we had parked while we camped. At one point, one of the families leaving pulled their vehicle close to the campground to load their supplies as they were leaving, and she followed the vehicle in and called the sheriff again stating that we were breaking the rules, when we were told by a different host we could pull a vehicle in to load up our supplies. (They were pulled in for no more than 5 minutes before being aggressively approached by Laurie, and having the sheriff called again).

It was all very confusing, and their “rules” changed depending on the day and host that was there that day. If you question what they say, they call the sheriff immediately.

Anyways, I wouldn’t camp here with families or children. It was scary how Laurie approached our campsite- no introduction or anything just straight aggressive and rude from the first thing to come out of her mouth.

Hopefully this company can facilitate some communication training for their employees, and help their employees all get on the same page so it isn’t so confusing to campers. By reading others’ reviews, we aren’t the only ones who have had a poor experience with the Vista management company (and specifically Laurie).

Pleasant place to camp. Clean and well kept up by the hosts. Restrooms were clean and well stocked with supplies.

Watch the campground host, I think they are doing some shaky business. There charge you even when you have a free pass to get in, then when you show them, they want to argue about it and say you are wrong, then they say they are going to call the sheriff.

Extremely noisy, there is no control over noisy campers, and razor vehicles reving up at all hours of the night, they probably stopped making noise around 3: 30 am
