Salvadoreño Restaurant #2- Pupusas reviews
16Good pupusas, friendly staff. The place gets busy and fresh pupusas take time. Recommended to call order ahead of time or be prepared for a wait.
My family and I absolutely love this place. Unfortunately tonight we realized that they've been charging a 20% gratuity for us being a "large party" when there's only 6 of us. I just happened to glance at the bottom of the screen before I put my card in and then it was too late according to the cashier because I had already put my card inserted.she didn't want to show us the receipt. The food is amazing. But this has just ruined our experience with this restaurant. I honestly feel like we should be aware of such charges.
The food was delicious, love it. I think customer service can do a little better. Thank you
Very bad service from the people who serve you and a long waiting time! I called and they told me that the order would be ready in 30 minutes and we arrived 15 minutes after I called and we were waiting for 42 minutes! It wasn't 30 minutes like he told me! When we arrived I told the person that we had changed our minds to eat in the place and he told me that it was not possible! What a bad service! We thought to consume more, and they are not friendly at all, they put on a face with a bad attitude! It seems as if he were going to give you food! They should be more efficient and have better staff, for example, they should be more friendly! I know what it is to give good customer service! I do not recommend it and we will not return to this place.
This is my first experience with Salvadorian food in PHX and I was excited. We came here on recommendation and I honestly was let down. The food I ordered was not made correct but even then the food was not very good. I ordered the spicy for two dollars more and I asked for Habanero but it came as jalapenos. It was super filling though. I had a Popusa and it didn't live up to what I thought it would be. I had an horchata but remember it is Salvadorean food and not Mexican. It's not at all like the one in the Mexican places. I wish I had asked to taste it beforehand. The fruit drink was good though. I recommend if you are familiar with this food to go but it's just not for me. They also had no AC and there was just fans going. It's too hot for this and we were rushed out because they close the dining area at 830pm and we arrived at about 8pm.
We had to wait 40 minutes for a to go order. The food was not good way too much cheese and greasy. Would not recommend.
The food is good. But 2+ hours is way too long to wait for your food. They have to turn people away or send them to different locations because they get so busy.
The pupusas are delicious and the one you order has a flavor that makes you come back again and again,
Food is always good but slow service so order ahead of time on weekends and there isn’t much sit at
Food was delish and big portions. Service was very slow. Took 10 min just to be seated and there were plenty of open tables. Then another 10 to give our order and 30 min to get food and we got tired of waiting for the check so we just went up to the register. I'll order to go ahead but only stay if you have 2 hours to spare
The woman taking orders today was so impatient and rude. Also serving food this hot onto styrofoam plates can’t be food safe right? You guys should put a sheet of foil underneath. The beans always burn through the plastic cups but today there was a hole burned through the styrofoam! Styrofoam that gets that hot to melting point releases chemicals into the food.
Excellent service
When I lived in Phoenix it was my favorite place I always take my friends and family now every time we return to Phoenix it is de rigueur to return to eat some delicious pupusas
Our super excellent waitress I don't remember her name Silvia Cintia or Sonia
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SERVICE
I loved. The best pupusas I've tried! Sonia treated us very well and all the workers are very friendly. I'm coming back! I loved this place. The best pupusas I have ever tried. Sonia attended us really well and all the workers are super kind and helpful. I am definitely coming back!
All very rich and the popusas freshly made. Delicious very affordable prices for the whole family.
I give it only one star but only because I liked the pupusas and the sauce and the tanning, but the waitress was terrible I am a waitress and you should never leave customers waiting when they arrive and even more so if there are many of us we went to celebrate a birthday there something strange seeing all Mexicans but we wanted something different to eat, well we arrived asking for a table the waitress sitting eating and told us esperence go there and I'll let you know when the table is ready omg I never do that I stop doing what I I'm doing at work because my priority is the customer and good luck going there waiting for the food I do understand since it's food made at the moment it's not McDonald's but the customer service for that waitress who apparently touched us She's in the wrong job because she didn't earn a good tip and look, I know what that is, that's what I live on and the customer is always paramount You give good service they give you a good tip so good luck with the woman.
I DON'T THINK I'M GOING BACK THERE TO MAKE THOSE FACES WHEN ASKING FOR WHAT I NEED.
