Sapphire Dental Care, Litchfield Park AZ

Used to be ok but has gone down the tubes in recent years. I have been coming here with my kids for over two years now. The front desk and staff are extremely kind and courteous, however, about six months ago, I came in with an infected root canal (severely abscessed). It was the end of the day at 5: 30 pm, and the Dr.on shift (the young blonde haired dentist) told me the only option was to extract it. The pressure to remove it was immense and he was extremely cavalier about it-almost irritated that I was deliberating. Looking back, I wish I would have gotten a second opinion as an endodontist probably could have treated the infection and saved my tooth. I regret this moment everyday. To make matters worse, the blonde dentist had zero "chair-side manners" (during the extraction he was discussing his Vegas antics with the assistant the entire time which I found very unprofessional) and now I am left with pretty severe damage to my teeth, jaw, and bite- I am still trying to figure out how to fix it. My teeth are very worn down on one side and I have to get an implant (which is insanely expensive!) The cost of this dental procedure has caused a long delay in fixing my bite. My jaw hurts from the unlevel bite and I must battle TMJ symptoms. I haven't seen Sharma in over a year; only the new hires, who seem less than competent and I don't trust. Suffice it to say, I have since gone elsewhere. Pretty sure the blonde guy doesn't work there any longer but it seems Sapphire has lost its smaller office touch and become careless in who they hire. You never really know who is going to be working on you when you show up for the appt. (EDIT: Since writing my original review, I have gotten my implant and felt compelled to let others know- if you are needing an implant PLEASE do not go here. Go to a Maxofacial surgeon who is truly qualified. Dentists should not be doing such procedures according to the surgeons I have been working with to fix my situation. I am so glad I did not go through with the implant at Saphire. Instead I went to the Arizona Center for Implant, Facial & Oral Surgery.)

Love Dr Sharma. I never had any pain or discomfort with two crowns! Great office and great staff and has the latest in equipment.would highly recommend!

My wife found this amazing dental facility. I so love them I really do. They have the best mannerism ever. They even advised me to get 2nd and 3rd opinions. They are so great at what they do I didn’t need to. I was beyond nervous and the way they put my mind and nerves to ease was phenomenal. I would be forever a patient. My wife and son are also going to be future patients. Everyone there is wonderful.

Hello my name is Danny, recently on August 28th 2023. I saw Dr Sanjay Nigam DMD for a cavity that was causing me pain in my tooth. After X rays and a visual exam. Dr Sanjay stated my Molars were "Fracturing" and it was imperative that i get 3 crowns ($3000) immediately and a tooth filling was not an option! Dr Sanjay had a very cold demeanor, rude and coincidentally was very quick to write this off as the most expensive option! I have a lot of tattoos and not sure if this is some type of discrimination or prejudice against people with tattoos. Total Bad Business and Very Unprofessional in my opinion! After the Bad Experience at Sapphire Dental, i went to get a 2nd opinion at a much nicer dental office near Litchfield and Camelback with an amazing atmosphere and friendly staff. The difference in Customer Service provided was like Night and Day! Long story short, i only need 2 fillings and no crowns!
if you go to this Sapphire Dental Care, Make sure you get a 2nd opinion before giving any of your money to these crockpots!

Awesome service, very affordable and informative. Staff is kind and responsive. Had cavities filled they were very effective and careful. Also got a teeth whitening much more affordable than other places!

Edit to the owner response: at no point was I offered the option to keep the temporary and wait for a new permanent crown because the one that came in was too big. Instead of informing me of the poor fit, Dr. Sanjay filed the two adjacent teeth without getting permission from me or explaining the issue and severely damaged them because of how much enamel was removed. When I questioned why the dentist was still drilling my tooth, the only response I got was that “I never had a crown done before so I wouldn’t know”. Additionally, my daughter was not present during this appointment due to a family emergency, so her lack of involvement with my crown has no bearing on this experience whatsoever.

There are zero excuses for this kind of bad dental work. When I went back to get my permanent crown cemented,   Dr. Sanjay aggressively removed the temporary crown, at one point while he was trying to pry it off, the tool slipped and hit my bottom tooth. The permanent crown was way too big but he was determined to make it fit, going as far as filing the 2 adjacent teeth. The back tooth was severely filed down and the crown still didn't fit but he cemented it in there anyway (see photo below). The pain I was in from that crown was excruciating.

Review:
My recent visit to Sapphire Dental Care was nothing short of a nightmare. From start to finish, everything about this dental appointment turned into a monumentally dreadful experience. I urge anyone considering this clinic to proceed with extreme caution and explore other options.

Firstly, my first appointment he burnt my lip with the dental tool and when I brought it to his attention two weeks later he ignored my concerns with the filling and did not want hear or see pictures of the burn and seemed disinterested.

Unfortunately, the examination itself did not fare any better. The dentist, for lack of a better term, seemed disinterested and rushed. They barely took the time to address my concerns, hastily performing the examination and without explaining the procedure or the findings.
I strongly suggest seeking an alternative dental clinic that values patient care and provides a superior experience.

I loved this place! It was my first time going there and everyone is so sweet and welcoming I would definitely recommend this dentistry.

I’ve been coming here for my cleaning for over a year and every time I visit it’s always a pleasant experience. The front desk staff are always smiling and in a good mood. My recent visit was also very nice. The hygienist was awesome. Was gentle and very professional. Gave me a quote on what I needed next. Definitely coming back soon to get it all done. Dr. Sharma and his staff are the best! Carrie is my dental hygienist and she is amazing! Dr. Sharma was able to fix poor quality fillings that were done by a previous dentist and the prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend Sapphire to anyone in need of dental work!
