Satchmo's, Flagstaff AZ

My order consisted of the smoked beans, half ribs, mac and cheese, and cornbread. The mac and cheese was pretty good. The beans tasted as if they had liquid smoke poured in them, it was too much. The ribs were bland without the BBQ sauce. This BBQ has not seen a smoker or grill. The cornbread was pretty good in my opinion. The service was nice. I would not waste another trip here. I love BBQ. This ain't it. Real BBQ does not rely on the sauce for flavor. Meat must be seasoned, not bland.

Fast and super friendly service! The food was delicious and the staff accommodating. I felt welcome and when I asked for an outside table, Slim S made it happen even though the patio was not open when I arrived.

Ordered takeout, the food was good and the staff was nice but we never got the pulled pork we ordered. We opened the food once we got home and got the buns and bbq sauce but no meat. By the time we figured it out, they were closed.

Best tater tots hands down! The beans are really spicy and delicious! I got the bbq pulled chicken sandwich and it was amazing! We drive 2 hours just to come here!

This place is awesome.we were staying in Williams where there is 0 good food so came to flagstaff because college students normally eat well.we were blown away.the ribs were 10/10.forsure order the tots they are fire.the mac and cheese was generous and had a crispy top.also covid restrictions were very much followed, and we felt very safe there (although we did take out). Would definitely go back if i’m in the area

Good site for delicious bbq.loved this place from the first taste.the place has a great atmosphere.they have so many good reviews for a reason.
