Scale & Feather Meadery reviews
19Absolutely lovely just visited for the first time and picked up 3 bottles of mead from them got a spiced sweet, a very sweet, and a drier mead to try out for the first time and i cant wait to go home snuggle under some blankets and watch some critical role with the fam while drinking this out of my horn!
First time trying mead def tastes like wine to me, but overall this place serves more unusual flavors of mead is what I’ve learned but I ended up really digging the dark maiden a blackberry dry one that tasted like a light wine wine to me, the traditional honey mead taste tooo sweat for my liking, this place is also decorated awesome with fantasy Elements def check it out for a cool experience with mead!
One of my favorite places to wind down after a ride. Micheal was at the tap and had a great line up of Meade to try out. This is the spot for some incredible tastes of Mead. I always walk out with a couple of bottles and will be returning soon.
*EMBARRASSED* I had family in town over the weekend. We decided to hop around a few breweries. We made our way to 8 bit but decided to check out this Meadery next door. We ordered 1 flight, paid at the register and shared it. The mead is very basic and no complexity to it. We’ve had plenty of mead in California but this disappointed. We didn’t finish the flight due to the taste being sub par. We walked next door to 8 bit brewery and were enjoying our favorite beer and talking with the regulars. The manager and employee from this Meadery walked into the brewery and accused us of ditching the tab. We showed them the charge on our bank account and they still proceeded to accuse us and embarrass us in front of everyone! They were both rude and had attitudes, They stated they had cameras so we told them to go look at the camera footage and come back to apologize to us. WE’RE STILL WAITING FOR THE APOLOGY! …
I decided I wanted to try mead for the 1st time so my wife and I researched where to find it and we stumbled upon Scale & Feather so I went in yesterday and had a pleasant chat with Amber and got to see the meadery and I was blown away! It was everything I hoped it would be and more! We've decided for our 3rd wedding anniversary we're going to make a visit together and have a sit down and enjoy the surroundings. I decided to go with a more traditional mead but with a more of a dry I am in love! I want more lol Horn of Valhalla was delicious!
Super pleasant environment! The owner was very kind and helpful with good suggestions for my first time trying mead! I enjoyed their selection of board games and will be going back with some friends (:
Scale & Feather Meadery is a dream come true for fantasy enthusiasts and mead lovers alike. Step into a world of enchantment with every sip. Their unique and fun flavors are a whole vibe! Be on the look out for their seasonal flavors! The ambiance of the place is totally worth the visit! With its captivating decor and imaginative staff, it's a delightful haven for the adventurous spirit. A must-visit for anyone looking to sip on fantasy-infused mead and make lasting memories. Highly recommended!
First time visit. We tried every mead they had available and hung out at a table for a bit. Every single mead had a unique flavor and tasted great! The place is clean and has a great atmosphere. The staff and service were excellent. They answered any questions we had and were incredibly nice. Bought a few bottles to take home. Will definitely be visiting again.
Scale & Feather is so incredible. Any mead you get there is going to be awesome. Prior to (weekly) visits here Superstition Meadery was our go-to. Not anymore! We're all in on Scale. They constantly are dropping new seasonal flavors and have a ton of fun events. We've done a mini fig painting and a paint night even as well.
The vibe for this place is "Man, I want to play DnD here". The atmosphere and decor are super cool. You can play board games while you drink or even bring your own! A lot of people also play DnD here as well obviously. When you see it, it will all make sense.
On top of all this, the owners are INCREDIBLY nice! They speak with you as if an old friend just stepped in and they've known you for years.
This was our first time tasting mead. We brew our own beer in Illinois where we live. We asked a lot of questions, once we get home I want to look into making mead. Thanks for all the info yesterday, everything was amazing.
Genuinely the best Arizona meadery I've encountered. Delicious classic honey wines and an ever changing line-up of unique and exciting new flavor profiles. Great for the adventurous sort, or anyone looking for a nice, sweet, and refreshing honey wine. The atmosphere is fun and inviting, a cozy little spot to sit with friends. I can't recommend scale and feather enough!
Our absolute favorite meadery. Inventive flavors, friendly, knowledgeable staff and a comfy place to spend some time. Cannot recommend enough.
Omg, words cannot describe how good this is. Very awesome Nordic atmosphere. 10 out of 10!
Amazing place to hang out, enjoy some mead, and unwind! Can't recommend this place enough!
I love mead and I wanted to find a new place to try it out, I've heard about this place for awhile but never got around to coming until now and I really love it, I love the medieval fantasy decor, and the mead is SO GOOD. I can't wait to go back.
What an awesome place! It almost feels like you're stepping into a Renn Faire when you arrive. The place has a great vibe and their mead is yummy!
We have been wanting to go here for awhile and finally made it in. I was very pleased with the flight we tried.
Staff was extremely helpful and willing to answer all questions. They even made suggestions based on our preferences.
They have 4 categories they group their leads into:
- Sweet
- Semi-Sweet
- Off Dry
- Dry
I'm sure you can find something to your taste liking if you try. We will be back again.
This is an amazing little place here in the west valley. The staff is incredible and there is a rotating menu of different meads for the season. This is a place that you need to visit and try a flight.
Good Mead, good people. A great complement to the 8-bit Ale Works next door. The meads change on a regular basis and are always delicious. A good place to hang out and relax with friends, perhaps enjoying a game of D&D. Outside food is welcome, outside drinks are not.
