Seamus McCaffrey's Irish Pub and Restaurant reviews
44This place has a great atmosphere and great drinks! I’d give it some more stars except I didn’t feel comfortable dining inside as there isn’t really any social distancing.
The service was excellent, the food was good. But it's really more of a neighborhood place that's Irish owned than an Irish pub, if you get my drift.
Dishonest bartenders, went to the bathroom and left change on the bar when I returned money was gone. They decided the $12 leftover from a $20 was their tip. They think people can’t add, had two different prices for a beer and a shot of good scotch. Allot of people standing around to get luke warm wings from the kitchen. Another Irish pub in a box which above all serves apple pie hooch shots, stay far far away from this place.
Great Fish and Chips however we had 2 different beers and they both were flat. Our server was great and I felt so bad for him because he was the only one working and it was packed! But he still did an excellent job being very attentive and bringing everything out.
Gravy fries beers and cheesesteaks with a huge downtown vibe! Will be frequenting this place when taking many it seems now to Phoenix/Tucson/Vail AZ
My favorite downtown bar. Great live music nice and beautiful hostesses waitresses and bartenders. Spent plenty if time there in a dark time if my life and they were right up there w Hoopers and Marjarle's as the place that everybody knows ur name.
I got an Imperial pint of a very tasty IPA ($8 including tax). It was very delicious. Bartender was courteous, helpful and friendly. I was there around noon and the place was empty. A good choice if you want a quiet surrounding as the music is low volume - at least it was when I was there.
The only negative I can think of is that you might have to pay for parking if you drive there.
5 stars
The food was amazing. I'll return with my friends. Prices that won't break you. This place has positive reviews for a reason.
My husband and I have been trying to go to new places on our date night. We loved it here is a cute little bar with great food at a decent price.
Great food. We had a boxty and stew and ended up sharing because both were so good. Perfect ambiance. Staff is friendly and helpful.
The chicken pot pie that they serve here is absolutely amazing. Service was quick, and the waitress even remembered us from a previous visit. Great place to eat or have a few.
Nice place, seems family orientated, great price, friendly and helpful staff. Parking can be a headache but then again it's downtown Phoenix. Seems like they have live music after 9 p.m. Fairly large selection of micro and regular brews on tap. Bathrooms both upstairs and downstairs for the handicapped. Not your typical Irish dive bar! Seems family-oriented during the afternoon and early evenings.
Nothing fancy, really just a dank hole in the wall. The food is a list of greasy, unhealthy opinions. The dress code is lacking and the environment fells dated and not that clean.
Friends and I visited to celebrate my birthday. The band sang me a birthday song and I enjoyed the music and atmosphere. It was amazing! We will be back!
Service was horrible - couldn't get a simple salad order right, then acted like we were asking for something unreasonable when we just wanted to get the order right - and it was the worst caesar salad I've ever had. Steak boxty was flavorful. Music was too loud. Great whiskey selection.
Fabulous service, our waitress was attentive, professionally adept at making Mccaffrey's our home for lunch. Food was great and the price very reasonable. Highly recommend this fine establishment.
I haven't been here in at least 15 years. My husband and I ordered the Irish beef stew. The flavor was good, but there could have been more chunks of beef and larger pieces of soda bread. Everyone that came with us were generally happy with the food but for the money, it could have been better.
As 100% Irish couple we thoroughly enjoyed our experience you can tell straight away it is Irish owned and leah was a super fun barmaid. I'm usually super critical of "Irish bars" but I felt Seamus mc cafferys was the real deal.thank you for the homely experience living away from our homeland
Very good wings with a good quantity, and the mozzarella sticks were Super Fresh, and very good. The car bombs were very delicious, had the perfect mixture without it being too overpowering and not too soft, also at a good price.
Great food. Fantastic service. Fun atmosphere with live music. If you've ever wanted to try Guinness, this would be the place.
