Shadowbrook Apartments, Sedona AZ

My family and I live in this apartments since 2016 ; we love this place ; Al is so nice with everyone.

My wife and I moved into Shadowbrook June of 2022, and it's been such a great place to live! More below:

-Alicia helped us out with all the prerequisites and getting our lease in order beforehand. She was incredibly patient and communicative with us, and really went the extra mile (like getting us some extra photos and measurements of the unit so we could prep our furniture) to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible.

-Al, our maintenance man and caretaker of Shadowbrook, is one of the kindest and most genuine people I've had the pleasure of meeting. He's always saying "hi, " keeping the place friendly and neighborly, and works tirelessly to keep the place in tip top shape. All of our maintenance requests have been filled super fast, and done thoroughly. The place really feels safe with Al around keeping an eye on things.

-The appliances are all new and very energy efficient. We consistently stay in the lowest tier power plan because of it. Laundry units aren't full sized, but aren't the tiny stackable ones you see in a time share. We don't have any problems with them!

-The rooms all feel clean and modern. The layout is open and inviting, there's hardwood paneling throughout the whole apartment, with the exception of the bedroom, which has carpet and a ceiling fan. The central air and heater is also a nice touch. It's loud (you get used to it), but works really well!

-There's a good sized coat closet you can use as a pantry by the kitchen, a large walk in utility closet for storage and hangers in the hallway, as well as a large closet in the bedroom with double sliding mirror doors that's also deep enough for some extra storage. So overall, plenty of storage for 2 if you're used to apartment living.

-We even have the back patio that extends from the bedroom. It makes for a lovely view of the red rock cliff behind the complex. The patio area is very nicely sized and much larger than we expected. More than enough to keep some plants and some patio chairs on.

-Parking is easy, the community is quiet and friendly, and the location is very accessible. It really feels safe and comfortable to be here! Plus we have a heated jacuzzi and pool (heated in summer)!

-All payments and maintenance requests are done through the online portal, which is super easy to set up and use.

If I had a complaint, it would be taking care of some of the bigger property issues: the asphalt is pretty cracked and messed up, and we could use gutters for more drainage on the buildings. And if I had a bonus request, it would be to turn the clubhouse into a mini-fitness center for residents to use.

Sedona is such a beautiful place to live, and Shadowbrook Apartments really makes that experience possible.

The thing that gets me the most about living here is just how safe the area is. Coming from living in a big city, it's so nice to have the peace of mind that our belongings, cars, plants, and such are all safe.

Al is not only wonderfully helpful at fixing anything that goes wrong (and in a timely manner), but keeps the place lively and safe! He's very friendly and a real asset to living here. We have wonderful neighbors too, and it's nice that everyone is very respectful of quiet hours. It's a very nice place to live since it really has a quiet town community vibe to it.

We love to use the heated hot tub frequently after all the hiking around here. Our appliances are all energy efficient and get the job done well! Plus, you can't beat the accessibility it has to the rest of Sedona. We're not so far west that it feels like we're out of town, but we're also not right near all the shops in uptown. And yet it's still a 5-10 minute drive to almost anything you need! We couldn't be happier living here.
